Spacious room, friendly staff, nice hotel surrounding
Nice things- Love the studio suite. Room was very spacious, mirrors was spread all over the room i find that kinda cool.. Staffs were friendly and accomodating. Not-so-nice things- Beverage served during evening were only fruit punch for non-alcoholic drinker. Should have at least another choice of cold drinks. Aircon was not working so well. At the living room, could feel warm and even at night time, were sweating like mad. had to even not use the comforter.

Luxurious stay for relaxing and sport
Location in park, Fabulous gym, nice restaurants
It was a truly relaxing experience, while having the opportunity to keep up with an intense running training program. The park is great for a relaxing walk, but also for resistance training. The gym is probably one of the best equipped hotel gyms around. Service overall is very friendly and tailored to my needs. Location central in the city makes it easy to get around. A little oasis in the centre of the city.

Understated luxurious hotel in a unique park
Peaceful location, attentive staff, ambience
This boutique hotel with colonial charm, is very different and low key compared to the big city hotels in bustling Singapore, as it is situated in a lovely park in an historical building. The room is tastefully decorated, with the original balcony incorporated into the room to take advantage of the views. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. We were there last weekend and, though my wife's birthday was a few days earlier, the hotel gave her a birthday card and a piece of delicious chocolate mousse cake - nice touch! It’s a convenient location, as a short walk takes you to the Doby Ghaut MRT station and if you don't mind the heat and humidity, you can walk to places like Orchard Road and Clark Quay. The evening drinks event for guests is another nice touch. Two nice swimming pools, but unfortunately the Italian restaurant has relocated. One small quibble is that a hotel of this calibre should provide bathrobes for their guests.

Most enjoyable
Location, style, individuality
Location is lovely, and not as isolated (in Canning Park) as first appears. In fact it is only a (max) 10 min walk to the nearest MRT station (Dhaubi Ghat) once you know the way, and staff are helpful with directions. Created from a former pre-war Admin building, the hotel has style and individuality. One of the best features of our package was the 'evening drinks', when complimentary wine/soft drinks and nibbles are available to eligible guests at a secluded indoor/outdoor section of the reception area. Here you can meet fellow guests, have interesting conversations, and learn more about Singapopre.

Amazing staff, poor breakfast
Staff, pools, comfort
The dining experience is poor and it needs to be improved. The Glasshouse feels like a low cost cafe not a five star hotel restaurant. The restaurant should be brought into the hotel as it feels remote and lifeless. Breakfast is too expensive and is not very appealing. Overall the staff are friendly and obliging and a credit to their employers. I will come back and can only hope the restaurant has seen some improvements by then.
