Well taken care of after a bad experience
One of those converted love hotels into a Korean style business hotel. Room looked clean but when I moved a chair, it was hugely dirty underneath with broken glass on the floor. Hotel is actually connected to a much more modern and boutiquey stylish hotel next door where the common check-in is. They immediately upgraded me to this new wing, which as far as I was concerned was an amazing room worthy of 5 stars everything. Only downside was that room didn't have an in-room safe.

We were a sport team of 14 people in 5 rooms with a double bed + a single bed by room. Early checking could be made, was very appreciatedby all team. We already took this hotel before, now it is renewed, the lobby is very big modern with a stay room. The staff is very helpful and comprehensive. The equipment of hotel is always top (air con, big TV, wifi, bathroom with all, etc..). Even for personal travel we book this hotel because it good place (Gangnam district, subway, airport shuttle, shops, banks, restaurants, hairdresser, Taekwondo shop, Kukkiwon, COEX, fastfood, etc...). 200 m from the main street, so rooms are very quiet. it will be perfect if breakfeast could be included.... Star hotel and Stay hotel are the same but Stay hotel in new one part.

location is awesome.but i prefer "gangnam stay hotel" not "star"
i did stayed at here for two days.location of hotel is really cool tho, next to yeoksam station exit 3 just few steps! lots of restaurant and gs25 nearly. but so thing happened.rooms just soso, kinda old.the hygiene was bad.washroom got some nasty insect and moving around the bathtub.and the hair dryer also not working tho.i did call to front desk, they are very helpful and nice, provide me new hair dryer and said can change my room to the new stay hotel coming morning;actually hotel star & stay are same lobby just different side.but thats totally huge different! stay hotel is so clean and cozy, room was super nice, lot of places can let u move/drop belonging.highly recommend stay hotel not star hotel! the price wasnt big different though.

Uncomfortable, noisy, bad/no wifi
big bathtub , excellent location
The hotel and room looked very appealing, however it did not live up to this. The beds were very hard (even for a korean hotel), the wifi was one bar, turning of the lights turned off the outlets (so i could not charge my phone), the walls were exceptionally thin.

Near subway station but far from tourist sites
Huge TV, Huge bath tub, near Yeoksam station
Except for breakfast, the hotel provided most basic amenities. Be sure to remind them to make up your room when you leave the hotel if you don't wanna come back to a messy room. Staff spoke very little English but were very willing to help. Overall, our stay was pretty satisfactory, but in the future, I would rather stay in a hotel that is closer to most tourist sites (even though the hotel was very near to Yeoksam station, our commute to tourist sites were on average 45min.) The bathroom had a sauna/shower and bath tub/jacuzzi, but neither the sauna nor the jacuzzi worked - still, we were able to use the shower and the tub (without the whirlpool).
