A very conveniently located Neo-Georgian building mixes traditional charm with modern amenities expected of a high caliber hotel. Just around the corner, guests can find a wide variety of activities and venues including Rundle Mall, North Terrace, Adelaide Casino, The Festival Theater, and Australian Wine Center. Dining options are too numerous to list, but be sure to give a look to the award-winning Georges on Waymouth, less than a quarter-mile walk away, where a top-notch dining experiences have been described by many as a must-do in Adelaide. The choices are extensive in Adelaide, but with a combination of history, lovely decorum, quite possibly the best location available in Adelaide, and attentive staff, Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Currie is hard to beat.

Great location

Close to free tram. Close to shopping and restaurants. Staff helpful
Quiet, clean, modern room. Good block out drapes. Great location 1 minute walk to the free tram stop so excellent for seeing entertainment at the Entertainment Centre/Cooper stadium. Close to shopping mall and restaurants. Easy walk to zoo and botanic gardens. Staff helpful and polite. Unfortunately the pool and spa were not operational but the receptionist organised for us to use the lovely spa/pool at the Grand Chancellor on Hindley instead. No problems minding my bags all day when I checked in and out. Also happy to ring and book an airport shuttle for us. Didn't eat there so unable to accurately score

Unhappy with parking . Far away for a lady alone

Position & staff . Food in restaurant good
Parking was a problem being 200 meters away .Not easy or secure if you have to walk with samples for business . Lift & surroundings tired & need renovating . Seedy area but great to have close access to the city. Staff were very obliging & helpful

Looking tired

Location, price, staff
There's not much grand about the Grand Chancellor, it's looking tired bathroom clean but old fittings, carpets looking a bit threadbare. Overall could do wit a good spruce up.

Location location

Location location llocation
Location is great, central to everything Adelaide has to offer., The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. House keeping are not very thorough on topping up the amenities tho and as an example, I found once I had used the sweetener it was gone, which was ok as I carry my own but on the last morning when we were leaving early I found the only coffee was decaf, which I'm afraid doesn't cut it at 5am. Somewhat disconcerting was the fact our room would shake, at first I thought it was an earthquake but when I enquires was told it was either due to air conditioning units or the lift motors.
