Good location by the bay

Location to bay, shopping and ocean park out front
We received the room we booked this time, last time paid for Bayview but was put in Aqua. The fish tank wall is always a great talking point as is the general cleanliness of the rooms. The showers leak water under the screen all over bathroom floor, poor design. The Ocean Park located in and around the hotel is a bonus if one would like to see the fish life of Philippines for a day. Can be hard to get a taxi in front of hotel due to busy ocean park sometimes, allow time or pay for it.
Hotel Feature Tip: Ensure they give the room you booked, twice staying here they put us in lower grade room than paid for.

Nice hotel, good location

Excellent location for the sights
Normally I don't complain but the hotel did not send the transport we requested from the airport. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for them to send the car. If I was booking again I would not bother and would get a taxi. Apart from that the hotel itself was really nice and the staff very helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Buy a ticket to go see the aquarium and sea lion show.

Unique spot with great service.

Quiet but surrounded by things to do.
our first trip to the philippines and this hotel added a unique dimension to our stay. we had valentine's dinner in the oceanarium, two informative historic tours arranged by the hotel and the park across the street was a great place to wander, talk to locals, learn more about this interesting country. i recommend this hotel-- one of the few that has something for everyone including great breakfast choices and no pressure service.
Hotel Feature Tip: Try the fish spa for fun.

clean room

all staffs are so kind
This hotel is really good for couples having rest and enjoy time both of them only. All arrangement and room is so clean like a brandnew and all staffs are so kind and you will be satisfied with their good service. But, Toilet and shower room is .... pls check other below commets Location - really bad location, just near Rizal park, Mabini street and Robinson mall only. and hard to find a taxi after 7 pm. because a few people come back to hotel at that time, otherwise the taxi never come into hotel with empty seat. So you have to go out or ask a service car to hotel lobby, but that so expensive.

Service is not good, very rude staff

Very nice view, location is very convinient
On the eve of our stay, front desk staff were making fun of the guest behindvthier back. Two hours before our check out, the staff were calling us every 5 minutes to remind us that we had to leave on twelve noon, they called us four times. They sent a staff around 10:30 am to ask us if we are ready to check out, he rang 3 times and went in, seeing us undressed. According to him it was hotel policy. I'll never spend another day at this place
Hotel Feature Tip: Make sure to lock the doors

Looks nice, but don't stay for more than 1 night

It's in Manila Ocean Park
The room had a flashing light above the door. It looks like it’s an emergency exit light. It flashed every 20 seconds. The air conditioner worked the first hour I was in the room, then spouted out heat for the next 2-3 hours. It took several calls to the front desk to get it fixed. Many calls had to be made as most of the calls were not answered. At one point at night, the air conditioner turned itself on for a few minutes. Calling the reception for help proved to be a challenge itself. Many calls went unanswered. I made 2/10 calls were answered promptly, the other times no one picked up. At one point, all the lights in the room decided to turn themselves off. It took a few attempts to call for help before they were turned back on.

Great staff, excellent location in Manila

Great location in Manila, central and on the bay, walking distance to a lot of good things
Good solid service. Even arriving before dawn I was met with a cheerful, enthusiastic porter and a welcoming, professional front desk. The room was better than I expected. The fittings modern and in good order, the standards of cleanliness high. A few drinks and snacks in the fridge, which were complimentary. Fantastic view over the bay from the window (which was essentially one entire side of the room). Leaving before dawn, the front desk was manned and professional. The security guard outside fetched me a cab even though he had to wake up a driver for it. The hotel has a great location just West of Rizal park. It's well placed for everywhere in central Manila, within walking distance of IntraMuras (the old town), many museums and sights, and this part of Manila is itself grat to walk through; modern air-conditioned malls (Robinson's Mall is seriously huge) mixed with old-style narrow alleys filled with hawkers and chaps selling food on portable ovens. A sort walk South to where the nightlife gets interesting. The hotel itself has a good gym, a spa, all that sort of thing. If you've never been to Manila before, this would be a good first hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: You could do far worse than starting and ending your days in Rizal park just outside the hotel; walk to the East side to hail a cab (although the park is itself a tourist draw, adjoining a couple of museums and a popular place for the Manila locals to gather on occasions).
