Staff, location, luggage storage
We stayed here twice during our stay in betwwen treks..the hotel is very close to Thamel and their is some fantastic authentic local restaurants close by. It was so nice to return each time as we found the staff so warm and welcoming..they even stored our bags for more than 3 weeks! When I return I will most definitely return as it ticks all the boxes for me on budget, location, and freindliness.

Rooms are basic but clean and the hotel is in a good location. It was perfect for my one night stop before flying out of Kathmandu. Close to all the bars and restaurants. It's a bit noisy at night from the street but I have ear plugs. Staff was very nice and I had a lovely chat with the owner about his home town and village. I would stay here again. Good value for money and clean rooms.

The best hotel in Thamel for 10 usd

Value for money, location, staff
The hotel it's self is amazing value for $10. Super friendly, polite, and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and well furnished with TVs in most (several English channels) Living in Thamel has its pros and cons. It's quite noisy both day and night, but it is worth it for the convience that it brings of booking tours, meeting other travels, and eating and drinking out late.

very budget hotel

friendly staff, fast check in
this hotel is very budget. easy to locate, but beware of the stray dogs. the staff was very friendly and helped us with quick check in. the room is very outdated with very basic facilities. the toilet is quite dirty. frequent blackouts. the main entrance gets locked after 10pm. if you are out partying and coming in late, you will need to bang on the door loud enough to wake the staff up.

Very average

Breakfast, TV, Friendly staff
This was a very average hotel. The breakfast was very good, and there was a wide selection of TV channels. My room was dirty and the water (both out of the sink faucet and shower) had a brownish tinge. Staff was friendly and offered to help with bookings and directions. I have stayed at many places in Thamel -- good and bad, cheap and expensive -- and there was nothing particular about this hotel that would make me want to return here.

budget with value

staff, location
the hotel is away from the main street so it's quiet most of the time (there's a construction site nearby at the time we stayed so it was noisy in the morning). the boss Jagat is a very nice guy giving us suggestions for our trip in Nepal. his staff are all helpful
