Hotel Harry sits proudly as the leader of Sydney's most artistically vibrant precincts, having re-opened in mid-2015 after a multi-million dollar renovation of the whole venue. The independent, heritage-listed Hotel Harry is set in the cultural heart of Surry Hills and the central business district. The building marries century-old architecture with a speakeasy feel and stylish, contemporary service. The 1912-built Victorian building and its 20 hotel suites have been lovingly brought back to their original splendor to deliver a comfortable space to meet, drink, dine, and relax. Crisp white linens, extra comfy pillows, and ultra-plush carpets provide the perfect space to stay and enjoy a neighborhood that’s a creative hub for design, food, fashion, film, music, and the arts.

Enjoy an easy stroll to just about anywhere else, including Circular Quay & Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks Precinct, The Botanical Gardens, Galleries, Darling Harbour, and Central Railway Station to connect you to Bondi Beach and beyond.

Hotel Harry Sydney - Food, drink and entertainment Harpoon Harry
The vibrant and energetic Harpoon Harry offers 5 versatile spaces designed to eat, drink, relax and be entertained. Spanning 2 levels our Bar Publico, Diner, Open Air Terrace, Lounge and Parlour all draw from a rich collection of easy Latin influences including Cuban, Caribbean, Spanish and Mexican. The kitchen is based around the taste of wood-smoked Barbacoa from a custom designed Silver Creek smoker slow-cooking Australian heritage and sustainable meats and seafoods in latin spices over aromatic woods until meltingly tender. Our spaces are backed by a commitment to quality music. A soundtrack of Reggae, Bossa Nova, Afrobeat, and Calipso define the Bar Publico while soul, funk, disco and house are the signature of Florida Blanca supper club up stairs in the lounge, diner and outdoor terrace.

Just what I wanted it was a good stay warm and local. The room I had was good would recommend to anyone staying for a short stop. Pricing was value for money. Next time in Stdney happy to stay there again. There is some noise but it is Sydney. Plenty tea coffee good hot shower and staff were easy to talk to and a welcome help about where to go and how to get to various locations.

Despite being an olden style hotel, facilities were all operable, staff assistance was great, proximity to central station is walkable, not too far from sight seeing attractions at the harbour, great value for money.

comfortable and economical

close to transport : clean and tidy : hotel below but quiet in the room

comfortable soft bed. Very small room with board floors which were a bit noisy. Pub downstairs so you could have a nightcap but quiet in the room. Convenient near public transport we are staying there again as its close to central station then to the airport. We were told we will have a bigger room next time. There is a lift but it is small otherwise up 3 flight of stairs to the rooms. Plenty of eating places nearby.

Just for one night. Good for location. Lift only provide for people with big bag and mobility problem. A bit noisy due to pub downstair. For a short term should be a problem.
