Good location but small

Location, design, quiet
Perfectly location near the old exchange and close to opera and some food. The room is clean and nice however quite small and the view not so nice.

Unfriendly staff, small room, difficult to locate

Close to public transport (if you're good at navigation)
LOCATION: it's quite close to the public transport (if you can ever find the hotel) - the hotel is located in a an alley which is very hard to locate. RECEPTION & STAFF: the receptionist is extremely rude and arrogant; he speaks terrible English and is not willing to help. CONDITIONS: the inside of the hotel is fine, fairly decorated; the street was under reconstruction so it can be quite noisy and the air is quite murky. ROOM CONDITIONS: the room is fine, well-equipped. BREAKFAST: there is no breakfast included. WIFI: the WiFi happened to be not working.

No Internet for whole weekend!

Clean room
I booked 4 nights in this hotel, from sat to tues. On sat upon I checked in, I found the complimentary Internet was out of service. I checked with the hotel staff (a middle aged man with moustache) at front desk but he failed to do anything. He first tried to claim his ipad works fine but turned out he did not even know how to open safari. I came to Paris for a business trip and in-room free wifi was one of the reasons to pick this hotel. I waited for a day and until Sunday, the moustache man claimed he has checked with the France Telecom and the whole area was out of service (!!!). I found it too unbelievable so I went to the hotel next door which told me they are also France Telecom and their service was fine. I informed the staff at hotel icone and he assured me he will follow up: "you think I have to fix it??" I was using Orange on my cellphone which the network was out of reach at the hotel. I literally had to walk out the hotel and walk a block to get reception and I had to stand around the street corner to send work email on boh sat and sun nights and mornings. Finally the Internet was back on Monday but I found the staff was not helpful with poor attitude. I do think it is the hotel's responsibility to provide what it promised when I booked. 2) the room doors are really really thin that I could hear people on same floor checking in and out. 3) the central air-con is set to a really high temp which is rather suffocating for us at night. There was a Daikin air con in the room however I was told it was only an air fan.

Nice hotel, convenient location

Location, close to transport, nice area
Stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Icone, overall satisfied with the hotel room and condition and good value for money. However was unhappy with a certain member of staff. The lady who checked us in was nice and helpful, however on the Saturday/Sunday a gentleman was manning the front desk. He was quite rude to say the least. Examples include: Calling us to leave the room as it needed to be cleaned at 10:30, insisting we take an airport shuttle without first finding out where we needed to go (and then insisting that it would take us 3 hours to get there...in actual fact it only took 40 mins) ad generally not acknowledging us whenever we cae/left or had questions. Apart from this, hotel was ok.

Nice hotel

Size of room
Hotel icone is nicely situated near the subway and you can find food esily around the area. It is also fairly near the Galleria Lafayette, the Opera house and other notable attractions. The lift is slightly slow and cranky but the rooms are larger than our London hotel rooms and hence decently size with fridge and security box. Toilet is also great and our stay is enjoyable. Down side is that it can be hard to find the hotel as it's on a side street. Extra point for the girl on the reception desk who was very nice and helped us with storing our baggages as we were early and showed us the area with their map.

beautifully decorated but a bit cramped

located in neighbourhood of Boulevard Haussman
As the pictures show it is a nicely decorated hotel. The breakfast area consists of 1 large table in a hip/trendy area downstairs from the hotel entrance. The elevator and upstairs hallway were extremely small so not suitable for large suitcases. The room itself was nice (again beautifully decorated) and not even that small (although the bed might be considered small for american standards) with large windows (but dark curtains!). The bathroom was again very small but did (!) include a bathtub. In summary: a bit expensive (but then again we were there on the 14th of july and it is Paris) but not bad.
