classical elegance in the heart of old vienna

this is a gorgeously decorated and appointed classic style hotel about 5 minutes from everything you would want to see .
almost everyone who is anyone stays at the imperial and it is easy to see why. the hotel is very beautiful and is sited in an ideal spot on the ringstrasse. we found the staff to be very helpful and courteous and they made a great difference to the quality of the stay. the restaraunt produces an excellent breakfast and the maria theresa bar has a great ambience and is a pleasant place to socialise in the evening. overall a great hotel in which to capture the vienna spririt at christmas. in the year 2012 it is unusal and slightly annoying to be paying for wi-fi in the room. the absence of tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms seems slightly odd, and again just a tad annoying. overall, not enough to detract from the pleasant stay.

Luxury weekend treat.

Magnificent entrance and staircase. Delicious gourmet food. Comfortable room good music available. Courteous staff. Good central position.
An excellent venue with a stunning interior that conjured up images of luxury from a bygone era. Well run, friendly but with formality inkeeping with the atmosphere. Rooms are well appointed in traditional style. Breakfast and dinner of a high standard.Positioned in walking distance to many of Vienna's main attractions. We would go back.
