Ok
Location was quite central, although had noise from people partying on balcony of building opposite. Can get good breakfast for €5 here. Room with 2 single beds was small, hardly space to open luggage.

Want to come back
Definitely, it's a "come back" place if I want to stop in the city again. Everybody's review tell about convenient location, and it's true. But I would like to emphasize the smart design and clean condition of my room and facilities of this family owned hotel. I've been to "boutique " hotels in many countries, and it had been always an issue of different sanitary standarus no matter how many "stars" were on the door of the istablishment. This place has no viggle room when it comes to cleaning rooms. I had a single room of a"shoe box"size, and it had been throughly cleaned every day without my special request. I saw the traces of vacuuming on the carpet and my bath robe (!) was nicely hang every day out of my 4 nights stay. The bathroom was sparkling - I just wish there were some hooks on the wall to hang my clothes...There were two fresh towels every day (smaller for hands and bigger for the body), bath rug, and some toiletries. The hair dryer too. The room was tiny but thanks to the smart arrangementioned of furniture, I had everything I needed for my luggage, electronics and all other personal things. The Bed was comfortable, drapes, lights, TV worked well, and a had an original local art on the wall. The breakfast room needs a separate story to describe outstanding orchids collection, excellent food choices and a flair of everyday care for hotel's guests. My only wish to Alex and other managers on duty - don't be afraid to offer some help to your "senior" guests with their luggage when they need to climb your almost vertical stairs which is a challenge without any bags. All is well that ends well, and I have a pleasant memories about my short visit to Amsterdam mostly because I chose the Jupiter out of many others.

Excellent location and rooms, terrible staff
Excellent location, clean rooms, great price
This is a great find in terms of price, room quality and location, but the staff (specifically one man) were among the worst I have ever encountered. This individual was so rude that it crossed over into comedy and farce, and became an almost enjoyable part of the stay as it was something to laugh about. Other than that this is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam and you can't beat the price for quality anywhere else in the city.

Nice shoebox
Location, breakfast, clean
Amsterdam accommodation is ridiculously expensive. Add to this a room exactly the size of 2 single beds, and the price becomes outrageous per square metre. Thankfully it only had 1 bed, with basic amenities and a smart bathroom. The steep winding stairs make luggage a problem, but it's a classic old building. If perfume smells are a problem, ask them not to spray the carpets before you arrive. Staff are efficient, but don't cross the lady who manages the breakfast bar! Good for a short stay unless you are single and claustrophobic.
