Excellent location and rooms, terrible staff
Excellent location, clean rooms, great price
This is a great find in terms of price, room quality and location, but the staff (specifically one man) were among the worst I have ever encountered. This individual was so rude that it crossed over into comedy and farce, and became an almost enjoyable part of the stay as it was something to laugh about. Other than that this is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam and you can't beat the price for quality anywhere else in the city.

Nice shoebox
Location, breakfast, clean
Amsterdam accommodation is ridiculously expensive. Add to this a room exactly the size of 2 single beds, and the price becomes outrageous per square metre. Thankfully it only had 1 bed, with basic amenities and a smart bathroom. The steep winding stairs make luggage a problem, but it's a classic old building. If perfume smells are a problem, ask them not to spray the carpets before you arrive. Staff are efficient, but don't cross the lady who manages the breakfast bar! Good for a short stay unless you are single and claustrophobic.

The Perfect Location
Location, Breakfast
This Hotel was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed in Amsterdam. The wifi at the hotel was however an issue - it was pretty much non existent for our entire trip (not sure whether this was our room only?) and when it did work it was extremely slow

Nice funky room
The room had a lot of space. I loved the location near leidseplein. The breakfast was good.
I enjoyed my room and it had a a nice balcony. It was an extremely convenient location .

Nothing special
location, price
Smelly room but clean. Staff was OK but not overly communicative or welcoming. I just expected something better than a standard low cost hotel after reading the reviews, but that's pretty much what it is. It was clean, the bed was good, the room was smelly.. that's about it
