Serene hotel away from town

Beautiful garden, buffet breakfast, five minutes bus ride to rope way station
The hotel is located far away from major tourist attractions like the Sculpture Garden and only one local bus route passes through this hotel. We saw a bus stand for shuttle bus from here to Haneda Airport but not sure of the bus fare. Good thing is the hotel is very near to the rope way station.

Nice hotel with great location

Delicious buffet breakfast, relaxing private-onsen & great fuji mountain view
There is always a smile with their staff, very helpful & friendly. We were very enjoyed of the private-onsen, and it open 24hrs daily. The food of the buffet breakfast is delicious and you can also view the Fuji Mountain if the weather is clear ! I & my wife decided to plan a second trip to this hotel again in the future, and this time might be 3 days 2 nights...😜
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: I & my wife were travelled to Japan with 6 days & 5 nights stay, three nights in Tokyo and then went to stay one night in Hakone, which is Hotel Kagetsuen. Then the last night we stay was get back to Tokyo! We are recommend you buy the Hakone Day(s) Pass & take the 'RomanceCar' (train) from Shinjuku Station rather than the 'Shinkansen' (bullet train)... At least you can take a view though the window with approximately 85mins. Be remind that alwalys keep the Hakone Day(s) Pass along with you because once you reach to Hakone area, this 'Pass' is unlimitted use for all those transpotation...including the Cruise travelling around the Lake Ashinoko/Lake Ashi. From Hakone-Yumonote Station, you need to changed by 'Hakone Tozan Railway' to get to Gora. Then changed by 'Cable-car' to Shozan, and then changed by 'Ropeway' to Togendai Station. From there take a 'bus' with only four stops (5mins) & you will be at the opposite bus stop of Hotel Kagetsuen. There was always a smile with their staff, very helpful & friendly. The private-onsen is locate at the 1st floor, and the others 2 public onsen are locate at 2nd floor & basement. We were very enjoyed with the private-onsen, we spent almost two & a half hours in there... The private-onsen got 4 rooms with 24hrs open & remember it was first come first serve. We took another round of hot-spring bath in the private-onsen the next day before our breakfast, all the food were delicious & we also took double round of those buffet meal... Last but not least, we went back to our room to packing up our stuff & ready to be checking out. Once we step out from the hotel and heading to take bus back to Togendai Station, we saw amazing scenario... WOW, can't believe that we've saw the Fuji Mountain!!!

Lovely hotel in a picturesque setting.

The onsen at the hotel was a treat after a heavy day of travel.
This was a great hotel. Just a bit of a trek to get to. A long bus journey from the train station. But the staff were super nice and the room lovely, with very comfortable beds.

Great Hotel In Great Location!!!

Great Design, Great Location, Great Service! Everything is so good!
I stay 1 nite there during my 1st trip to Japan. It was located not far away from Tokyo Station, which is within walking distance! The customer service is great and friendly. I like the decoration in the waiting area and the room. The price could be a little bit steep but considering the location, service and the comfortable room, i will not hessitate to come back again during my next visit to Japan.

charming hotel. lovely onsen.

onsen!! lovely view from room.
the room came with a fantastic view which reminds me of the twilight scenery from edward's room.
Hotel Feature Tip: Onsen- public, gender and private avail- All for your selection! however, as we stayed on the eve of the new year, no dinner was avail and we hv to take a bus out in the freezing cold in order to get some food. Breakfast buffet was delicious and of variety tho =)

beautiful view

near to togendai cable station and three bus station.
the hotel is clean, breakfast is nice, you can see fuji mount is the weather is clear. staff dont speak english, but they will show your an english notice to direct you where is your room, when is the breakfast. the room come with heater and coffee maker plus tv, so you will feel comfortable to stay over there. they also a onsen (hotspring) for public and private. just go any one you like (not mix).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: get a hakone free pass, depends on how many days you stay (2 or 3 days), you can use the free pass to go around the whole hakone plus gotemba area. the night in the hotel and surrounding has nothing, you can take the bus from the hotel go to the town to have your dinner or shop around.
