Be Careful Regarding Assigned Room

Cozi Hour

The hotel is in a good location, but I found it overpriced based on my experience. I was assigned to a top floor room. It required taking an elevator and then taking multiple sets of extra stairs that seemed strange and removed from the core of the hotel. No staff member warned me of this; nor did a staff member ask if I might need help with my large luggage. The final steep set of stairs led to an internal door that was incredibly heavy to push open, to reveal a closet sized space with access to 3 rooms. The "hallway" was absolutely stifling, and it was only 60 degrees F outside. I opened the door to my room, which was even warmer. I had one window that opened approximately 12 inches straight up - all walls were slanted - so there was never any air flow. Perhaps as a consequence of the heat, the bathroom had a strange sewer smell. I also found a fairly large spider web with a dead spider in it (in plain sight in the bathroom), a single towel, and no shower items (no shampoo, etc., although these did finally show up on the second day). I will end simply by saying the room was terrible (hot, smelled) and they were not able to offer me an alternative, even after I told them that I was willing to pay more. If you can "pick" the right room and are traveling in the fall or winter, you might have a different experience.

Excellent!

Location, Comfortable, Friendly Staff
8.7
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Kong Arthur. The location of the hotel is amazing - there are many great neighbourhoods nearby, and it is very easy to get to from the airport. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Every day there is a "cozy hour" where they provide free wine from 5pm-6pm, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is really well decorated, with a big lobby. It has a spa and 3 restaurants. Bedroom isn't big but very clean and cozy.
