Fine for a night

wi fi, hot shower, price
Neat/clean, and the wi fi strong/the shower hottt, but as mentioned before not in the best of areas safety wise. Just minutes from Arcos de Lapa and Selaron Steps though! Several towels were supplied, but only a sheet - no blanket/duvet. Not that the latter was a problem, as the weather was warm and I actually had to make use of the (noisy!) aircon. As mentioned before, the rooms are poorly lit (and I usually prefer dim lighting - that says a lot!), and I definitely didn't like the motion sensor bathroom light. The receptionist didn't really speak English, but was friendly/helpful despite the language barrier. No mention of breakfast though, and I didn't ask, consequently didn't have it. There is a sushi place around the corner (3mins from the hotel) - I didn't try it, but thought it's worth mentioning.

Small rooms in a sketchy area.

ok breakfast, nice bed, ok internet...
The value for the money is not that good. As everything in Rio, it's expensive. The rooms are small and a bit claustrophobic. Lapa is alittle sketchy in the nighttime, and when you see the reception looking like a prison cell, you'll understand why. The staff didn't speak english at all. Breakfast was okey.
