Fantastic location
Excellent service, view from roof top
An excellent hotel in an excellent location. Customer service at the hotel of a very high standard and the accommodation comfortable, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the food, especially breakfast and used all the restaurants during our stay. The only negative was the spa, we both had a massage which was the roughest and most painful massage either of us had experienced. We later found out this was common in Vietnam but it took us a couple of days to recover. Hotel very accommodating and looked after our luggage while we toured. Recommended

Great Hotel Location and Service
Casino, Great Service
Hotel gave my guest a birthday cake as she was having her birthday on the day of check-in. However, they did not surprise us with it and i had to call up reception to have them sent up. They also allowed me to return few days later to use the shower facilities as my connecting flight takes a few good hours in between. All in all, a great experience and good overall service.

Pricy and nice but for the money not the best
Location
The Majestic was a hotel we chose as a treat as it was our honeymoon, it is very nice however the service I felt for a 5 star hotel and in comparison to the other hotels that we stayed in while in Vietnam was not the same. It is a nice hotel however all the little extras that other hotels in Vietnam give you were not part of the Majestic Hotels way. All other hotels that we stayed at in Vietnam provided a welcome drink (non alcoholic) and more personal attention and the other hotels that knew it was our honeymoon (Majestic being one) put on a beautiful surprise in the hotel room -flowers, cake or chocolate etc to really make you feel special. Majestic didnt provide this. The rooms are large and have all the mod cons and breakfast is nice enough (an extra $25US- which considering the cost of vietnam is the same as a 3 course meal). I think for the cost I would prefer to stay in the boutique family run places as from our experience they were so friendly and helpful. I would not say dont stay here as nothing at the hotel offended me its more the little things and going the extra mile that i thought a 5 star hotel would provide but didnt. The pool is nice at the end of the day to feel like you are away from the busy streets of HCMC and the location is great too- everything is walkable.

Great location and very friendly staff.
Liked the great breakfast on the terrace over the river...
nice place with a lot of history. a bit overpriced compared to hotels in the vicinity though (excepted when agoda provides a good discount!)

Warm welcome and good service throughout
High standard of service
i live here in saigon, but chose to stay at the majestic to escape from the frenetic pace of city life for a night or so with my husband. we had booked a superior colonial and were upgraded on arrival to a deluxe, which was a nice surprise. our room was on the second floor in the modern wing, facing the river. we had a lovely view. we felt that our room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. we also enjoyed the lovely hot power shower. despite the fact that we were informed on arrival that there were 3 wedding parties staying at the hotel that night, we were not disturbed by them at all, and enjoyed a peaceful evening meal at the rooftop bar overlooking the river. the majestic had a serene atmosphere and we felt warmly welcomed by all staff. we would certainly recommend it to friends.

Historical atomosphere
Good location, nice decor
This was my first trip to Vietnam and I was by myself. Since I did not know the standard of what to expect in Vietnam, I decided to spend a little extra money to stay in a 5 star hotel, so I would not encounter any short comings. The hotel was clean and elegant and my room was very beautifully decorated. Although it was a little dark in my room, it was nice to come back after doing all the excursions under the sun with high humidity. I checked out on time, but my flight was at midnight, so I left my baggage at the hotel, I came back in the evening and spend a couple of hours getting massage at spa. I was able to take a shower before I catch my red eye flight. It was over all a good experience.

Classic hotel
Nicely decorated
With its historic background, you won't be disappointed with the hotel which is very nicely furnished in every detail. The staff is very polite and helpful. I even receive a thank you email from the hotel after staying, which is really warm. The hotel is located right next to the Saigon river and within walking distance to attractions like the theatre, the post office or the famous local market. Though the room is a bit small, it is very clean and cosy. Breakfast is at the 5th floor with a comfortable view of the river. Overall speaking, an amzaing stay!
