Non-Existent WiFi

WiFi was "unavailable" as the router was away being repaired, coincidentally, for the three days I was booked in for. I doubt if it even existed. Room was, as throughout India, in need of a good clean out, but was basically OK. Breakfast food was just slop and limp toast, and the attitiude of all the staff was couldn't care less, and surly. There are better hotels in Panjim

Somewhere to Stay

the position, the view, the size of the room.
I caught the train from Mumbai and arrived about 6 hours late. It was about midnight and although several other hotels were open this one was shut. I made noises at the gate but I could not obtain a response. I was forced to find accommodation at another hotel. The next day I was given an apology and I subsequently stayed there the following night. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room large and the view over the centre of the town was striking. The hotel is satisfactory but old and in need of some maintenance.
