We had a lovely night at the Meyrick and the location of the hotel allowed us to easily access the beauty of Galway. Staff was friendly and welcoming and helped us with our enquiries. I would recommend to friends and family

the bedroom was comfortable. staff can only be described as indifferent and did not go out of their way to please. ordered a smoked salmon sandwich from room service, but forgot to bring the lemon!- a small example of a well located hotel which one feels need some disciplined management.

The hotel represents great value for money when booked through Agoda. Fantastic city centre for everything galway has to offer. The staff were beyond helpful and made every customer feel valued.
Breakfast vas really great and hit the spot after a night on the tiles in Galway City Centre!
Restaurant Tip:
Martines on Quay St., great food, very reasonable.

Charming hotel at the centre of Galway

I really enjoyed my visit here. This hotel is in a fantastic building right on Eyre Square, at the heat of Galway. When you step inside, you immediately feel the old fashioned charm, and laid back atmosphere... In the foyer area there's open fires, welcoming armchairs. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even though I had a voucher from this website, had got a great offer and had prepaid. It didn't bother the hotel, they were very nice to me.
My room was clean warm and quite spacious. The bathroom was huge. I'd definately return again.

Overnight stay in Galway on a busy summer Saturday was, to say the least, made very pleasant at the central Meyrick Hotel. An eclectic mix of old world charm with accomplished friendly staff, particularly at breakfast, this stay was a very pleasant one. Although if you can get an old room do as the new ones are small and viewless.
