Good service good location

The room it self only
Good location which just near to Kota beach. Inside the room is good, but outside is under construction, the path to the hotel not easy to find.

Great Location

Near to Kuta beach and Leagian
Overall, the hotel is good and it is very near to beach and a night live. The only thing is the electricity supply of this hotel is not sufficient and a several times the AC and light was down.

was a very clean, nice secret found down an alley

the cleanliness of the room, air con, and the friendliness
it was a little tricky for the cab to find but i think that may be because we didn't want to pay his inital cab fare. at first when we saw it was down a little alley we got a bit scared, but after the warm welcome and seeing firstly that the floors were very clean, the very step climb up the stairs to our clean and aircon'ed room reassured us we found a bargain. only like 500 meters to main shopping bit of kuta. also if you walk directly down the street s8 is on you will find many clubs, restaurants and more stalls. for really good wallets, watches, jewellry try the shop bagus. it is near the mcdonalds on the main strip next to mooks. enjoy
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Only use Blue Bird Taxis and make sure you get them to put the meter on as WAY cheaper then bartering.

bad location

free and fast wifi
hotel stuff was friendly and ok, wifi was fast but the location in south kuta is not so good. food in this area is bad and beach in south kuta is not apealing at all. seedy area with anoying touts and hawkers everywhere. the hotel and the surrounding is under renovation and noise starts at 8 in the morning. the room is ok, bed is new and good, but the glass bathroom in the middle of the room is a joke. the hot water was just enough for 2 minutes shower. given what a dump kuta and many parts of bali became, the hotel is way too expensive. not recommended for familys with children and couples.

good facilities in the room
the place is under construction, so very bad environment.I asked for airport pickup, but nobody came in the end, and the hostel also never inform me about it in advance.

Location, location & quiet!

Big room, close to everything & cheap
the rooms are reasonably large with a separate sitting area & tea making area – they are not just a hotel room (almost twice the size). we had 2 windows (most have at least one) with shear curtains on them only so this was not conducive to sleeping in. the hotel is far enough away from any religious loud speakers & the traffic but there is currently building works happening in front of the hotel (daytime only). the bed & pillows were comfortable, no bedside tables, the room was clean, the staff friendly, the free internet in the room running between 1kb/s to 128kb/s & the wall mounted tv had foxtel. there is a wardrobe with shelves & hanging, medium sized new fridge, kettle, 2 small cups, the 1st day’s supply of tea/coffee, 1ltr water to get you started & shampoo & body soap to last a week. after that you have to supply your own. the bathroom is 1.2 x 1.2 mtrs in size with the shower over the toilet & handbasin outside. you need to be aware that the toilet smells will enter the entire room area as well as any noise emitted while on the toilet. the bathroom is a full glass enclosure (with some obscure areas) so you should only come here if you have a very close partnership. not suitable for a family. the shower waste emits a foul smell, but putting the bin on top of it helps. you have to ask for any more toilet paper and for the bin to be emptied. the hotwater system is a very small storage unit that only is hot for the 1st half of one person’s shower & takes ages to reheat before the second person can have half a hot shower. there is a bath mat but no handtowel. the airconditioner is too small for the room and needs to be run constantly to keep the room just cool (we were there in december the hottest season). for low price, it is ok but you may want to pay a little extra for some comforts. the s8 hotel is close to everything including a cheap supermarket, 30secs away.
Shopping Tip: If you are staying in Bali any longer than a week or have a family, consider buying your water in the big 19 litre blue containers that the locals use – called “Aqua Gallon”. They cost around 50,000RP full and you may get 37,500RP refund on the bottle. If you cannot get a refund, give the empty bottle to a local – they will love you. It equates to 19 litres of water for 12,500RP. To get another full bottle just return your empty bottle and pay the 12,500RP only. You will need some way to fill smaller bottles – a funnel or a kettle. Otherwise it is about 3,000 to 4,000RP for 1.5ltrs.
