very nice room and view

great rooms and friendly staff
very welcoming staff, and an awesome room. great location as well, only a 2 min ride from town. however we were there when it was being refurbished so quite noisy and manic, also food was a let down.
Jom J. Families with older children India, August 19, 2012
Conveniently located but facilities lack

Friendly staff although they are not available round the clock.
(1) The Hotel has changed its name to "Hotel Sai Palace" making it a real challenge to locate it. (2) Water heaters in the two super deluxe rooms which I booked were not functional. There was no one at the lobby or reception to report this. Services are available from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm only. (3) The Restaurant is poorly managed in terms of quality of service and choice of food items. (4) Rooms are not provided with towels or soap. Shower units do not work properly. (5) Used plates and left-out foods were seen spread through out the corridors and staircases. I will never stay in this Hotel any more.

Stay for a change from routine

Nothing, Nothing and Nothing
Hotel - Not so bad for a family stay. But Rooms can be more cleaner and Room service can be improved
Eldin D. Families with young children India, April 29, 2012
Affordable Hotel with Decent Accomodation

Hotel was okay type. Food was okay, not too many options to choose from. They serve Punjabi style food. Room Service is on the slower side. Bathrooms are okay with facility for Hot water(geyser). Bathrooms doors dont close. Reception and CheckIn and Checkout formalities are fine. Its a normal Hotel but no major facilities are present to impress a traveller
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Visit Ooty Lake, Pykara Falls, Dobbadeta Peak
Madhukar C. Families with young children India, February 11, 2012
Good hotel bad service

It was bad experience with this hotel because of bad service. They don't care about their guest.
Vishal G. Couples India, January 25, 2012
Just a place to sleep, nothing else

not a place to stay with family, it is more of a hotel to stay just for a night. rooms are okay types; don't expect much in terms of service. more of a place for bachelors.
Nadeem K. Groups Mauritius, January 23, 2012
Basic Indian hotel but service with a smile

Hospitability of staff
Reached Ooty by the toy train after a sleepless train journey from Cochin to Mettupallayam via Coimbatore. The location of this hotel is central. The staff gave us a warmly welcome. The room however was not up to the standard. Could easily manage to have a better room for this price. The electrical fittings were hanging out but hot water was available. Room was spacious and clean.
Restaurant Tip: The famous traditional oven bake pizza is a must.
