Location was very good
Location was very good. The monorail was just downstairs and a shopping mall opposite.

Not Good
Rooms offered to us are looking old. Painting patch up; not done correctly. Towels are cleaned; but looks dirty.

Location good, Variety of food not good
Desk provided too small for efficient working with laptop. Also not enough power points for use. Variety of food not good. Hardly find green vegetables as means of healthy diet.

Near Amenities
Stayed here many times already and more convenient to go anywhere because the train is nearby within a minute can reach it.

Feeling its age
The Sentral has a superb location in pretty much the last few streets of the last colourful neighbourhood in modern dizzying-change high-rise KL. A few minutes' walk from KL Sentral Station, right next door to the monorail, even fewer minutes to several excellent restaurants, overlooking the unlikely trio of neighbours - a Chinese temple, a mosque and a church - which typify modern Malaysia: no location could be better. Have stayed here over a dozen times, and sad to say have started to chart a long slide. Corridors are dirty. Room cleaning haphazard. The lifts, never a rapid mode of transport, now require reading material for the journey. This is a real problem at check-in/check-out times when the hotel is full. The non-adjustable air-conditioning thermostat setting is slowly creeping up and up, into cheaper-to-run zones that keep rooms stuffy. The breakfast buffet offers fewer choices, all cheaper items. Bright yellow palm-oil margarine has replaced butter. I had the same room in early March and late May: a broken light switch had not been repaired, and the collapsing mini-fridge door still sagged, suggesting problems in the maintenance schedule. The staff as pleasant and helpful as ever, but some have been seduced away to the plethora of newer hotels opening all around. I'll be exploring the alternatives in my next visit to KL as well.

Good for a short stay
Requested for a non smoking floor but they gave me a smoking floor so i have to endure the cigarette smell for 4 days :( iron was only available for 30mins so i rushed to iron all the clothes. my room was at 8th floor so you basically can hear the sound of monorel from 6am-11pm. plus side : very near to KL Sentral, just about 3 minutes walk. grocery stores nearby and mamak store along the stretch. we manage to get a taxi deal of Rm80 from the tour agent at the lobby (KLIA express cost us RM110 for 2 pax when we first arrived). breakfast was okey, do avoid the milk for cereal as it taste like it has been mixed with water. and the fridge in the room was not working too. the rest was satisfactory. next time i would like to try Nu Hotel which is just opposite Hotel Sentral because it's new and cheaper than this one.
