For those of you who dont know. Hotel Sunroute Plaza is just right beside a JR Line & Oedo Line station. We just knew this halfway through our trip. Had we known earlier it would have been very convenient for us. The hotel still looks new to mint condition. The front desk receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Plus points because they speak fluent english. Checking in and out was a breeze. You could also take the airport bus from the hotel, just ask the front desk and they'd be happy to assist. Maybe one thing that i hope they would include is the heated toilet seat. Because it's a must have in every Japan Hotel/Residence. But overall i would definitely comeback to this hotel when we return to Tokyo. It was a pleasant stay indeed!

the hotel is strategically located about 5mins walk away from the main Shinjuku station where taking the public transport is an ease. Those who are using JR passes, also will find this location the best for travelling. There are lots of eateries and also big shopping malls within the walking distance. Staffs were helpful and informative on the travel information and also helping to keep our luggage as we were travelling out for 2 days trip and back.

It was a great stay. However, the staff doesn't know their duties well. First they don't know what's the difference between WHO will stay at the hotel. They just gave the reservations to somebody else, and the one who made the reservation were not given the correct privilege (meaning, the one who paid and the one who will stay didn't have the room)... Also, they charge the guest wrong on the shuttle bus to the airport. Then, the were calling that guest on the overseas, that they paid the wrong charge, since that's the amount that they told to the guest. Very inconvenient for the guest how to send the payment, and it's only less than $10, to send...

Pleasant. My only comment is that they don't have complementary coffee and water like other 4 star hotels.

Clean & well-located basic lodging

Location, value for money, helpful staff
7.7
The very small economy double room is awkward and affords no storage space. The bathroom is larger than expected though. The breakfast buffet is overpriced and offers little for vegetarians, and there is no a la carte breakfast option -- not even a cup of coffee. There is no exercise facility. It is an extremely convenient, cheap, clean, basic sleeping space and adequately fit the bill for 3 nights in Tokyo. No way is it 4-star, though!
