Great quiet location

location, rooftop, price

Very pleasant stay. Great location that is accessible and yet off the beaten path. Nice rooftop pool and area to relax. Building has not been updated for a while but that adds to the character of it. Good value for the money and staff was always very helpful.

Dirt Beyond Belief
2.7
I booked the "one bedroom Tuck building" but when I arrived I found I was staying in a very dark and small studio room. I complained to reception, but was told that since I had only booked a studio room I would have to pay another 2500 Baht to upgrade. I payed but having had a quick look at the bigger room. I should have looked closer.

very dirty
3.3
i was almost overwhelmed by the dirt of the room, dust mostly, never seen anything like it. the ancient air conditioning unit started spraying water around the room. had to be disabled. it would be another 24hrs before it could be fixed. in the 3 days i stayed, i never had a visit from the crazy housekeeper, even though i was informed by reception that they should have serviced my room every day. jawdropping, i don't know how they can stay in business.

average stay

The best things were that it was quiet, the pool is nice, and the staff were friendly.

The stay at the hotel was average, not amazing. The things that could have been better were better office hours. I came in at 8 at night and was told by the guard outside that I needed to go stay at another hotel. Finally the female guard came and helped me get to my room. I had booked on agoda to stay in the white building but it turned out I was in the other building instead of the white building with my friend. After asking for towels a couple times, it took my until the last day of my stay to get a towel in my room. It seems like a towel should just be in the room when you first come. Despite these negatives, the owner was helpful, the female guard was very friendly, and the hotel was nice and quiet at night.

Quiet spot in the city

I could hear the birds but was in the middle of the city, large space and they brought us two beds for our kids

Would definitely stay again, we did have issues with the lack of internet on our last day but previous to that it had been fine. If you need anything ask before close to 7pm as the office closes and you request may get lost in the end of the day excitement. Otherwise nice people, small but good pool with a nice view of the city.

Bare minimum

Spacious room, moderate price, location
5.7
without being too harsh on the place, there is little or no "staff" service or support. So if what one wants is simply a relatively spacious/tidy room (I had lounge, kitchenette and bedroom) in reasonably good central location at moderate price, then place is suitable. But any request for assistance seems to be met with almost confusion why a guest (me) has come to them to ask anything. After hours security/door-person was just plain rude/arrogant, speaking no English and waving me off like a fly buzzing in his space when I asked for help. There was no servicing of room during two-night stay. Toiletries minimal and not re-supplied. Choice of water temp in shower is cold or scalding. Balcony advertised is just big enough to hold air-conditioning unit. Kitchenette generally minimally equipped if one was wanting to prepare food, though no real need for that given all the amazing food available elsewhere. All in all, not a "bad deal", but main thing is to not expect any substantive support from "staff".

More a serviced apartment than regular hotel

Spacious well appointed room, nice gardens, quiet but close to centre
6.3
Good for longer stay. One bedroom apartment with kitchen, balcony, quiet garden surrounds are the best things. The walk to nearest sky train stop is a little too far in Bangkok heat, but there are motor cycle taxis outside, and regular taxis cruise by often. There is no restaurant on premises. 'Gastro' next door does good western breakfasts, but at western prices. kitchen is well equipped so it's possible to do your own cooking. There are several restaurants & cafés near by. 7 Eleven on corner if you want to prepare own meals. We had some problems with plumbing, but it was fixed promptly. We have extended our stay.
