Delighted with choice; all good, re-booked for return to mandalay from Bagan; Exec Chef exceptional for range and output. at this type of hotel breakfast is always good; this was memorable. as was staff send-off; go there.

strange that the hotel will not take visa for a one night stay ,only US dollars no local currency except when paying in the cafes.
they explained that it takes too long to send the details of the transaction to Singapore for verification ???

acceptable "city centre" type hotel.
view down one side of the palace canal. helpful and attentive staff.

our stay was pleasant. the only compliant was the menu in the restaurant is limited to basic western fare and is expensive. the hotel is located near many restaurants so that is not a problem. the room was large, comfortable bedroom, updated bathroom, and very clean.
