Great Stay at Waterfront Cebu
Location, Big rooms, Nice staff
We were lucky as we availed of an Ambassador room (with lounge pass) at a discounted price so the stay was well worth it. Though a bit old but the hotel is still grand. I wouldn't mind staying here again if and when there's another promo hahaha.

I booked an Executive Suite for three nights. This was my third time staying at this hotel, and by far the worst experience. The room was fine, except for the bathroom. The bathtub drain stopper did not fit, so taking a bath was impossible. I discovered this late on my second night, and I reported it the next morning. There was also a major water leak from the bathroom ceiling that occurred on the morning of my last day. Surprisingly, the staff was very slow to respond as I called to report it twice. My room service dining experience was a disaster. I ordered the Angus burger without bacon and was told it would only take 25-30 minutes. Over 45 minutes later, I called back to check on the status and was told it should be arriving soon. When it was arrived, it had bacon and they forgot our drinks. Since I do not eat pork, I had no choice but to wait for another burger. My partner ate her meal alone. Fifteen minutes passed and they brought our drinks and another 'Angus' burger. This time, the meat was squashy. I have never seen meat so soft, and could not even eat half of the burger. When I called to complain, I was offered something else on the menu. Why would I order more food at this point? I was given a free cocktail instead. I told the room service receptionist that I should not be charged for the burger, but it still appeared on my bill the next morning. By the way... the Ambassador Lounge is a joke. If you go there for breakfast, expect to be underwhelmed. The food selection is very limited, so it forces you to go down to the main restaurant. The lounge has no view as well. All in all... not a good stay for what I paid. I will try the Marco Polo Hotel next time.
