Fair but there is better

Quiet location, modern interior, clean
As the average of the reviews says, I Galleria will be a pleasant stay. Staff is approachable and helpful, the rooms are modern, the bed comfortable BUT there are some strange design features which are not practical and take away a lot of appeal, e.g. the rooms are very small such that the sink is situated in the room next to the TV. There is no mirror on top of the sink. Instead, one has to take a step up towards the toilet to have a mirror but there nothing to place toileteries on. Amenities were basic. Most annoying of all was however the toilet and shower; which were separated from the room with glass doors that left a 50cm gap between their top-end and the ceiling. If you don't like your room to become moist from the steam of the shower or you need the privacy of a sealed-off area as a toilet, this won't be for you. Breakfast, which I paid an extra B 250 for was uninspiring.

Location was not bad, personnel was good
The Room was too small, there were no window, during my two days of stay they didn't clean my room. The hotel wasn't bad, but Thailand usually offer better for the same price

Terrible room smell!! Roaches everywhere!!

Bed was okay
We booked two rooms. okay, except it was filled with Mosquitos. Room smelled like a sewer drain. They only give you one keycard per room so you can't keep the air running. There is no proper exhaust in the room so the air gets stale and smell gets worse. All this is okay for the price because the room rate is very low except for the fact that when we went upstairs for breakfast; we saw not one but multiple cockroaches all over the Buffett table. I have never been so disgusted it in my life. When it comes to location it's at the end of Soi 13, so it's close to get to Soi 11 but the walk to an from is a bit shady. My advice. If you have the money, don't cheap out. Get a room for a few bucks more on Soi 11 or further up Soi 13. The bathroom is also a weird setup. A curtain separates your bed from the sink area. Also there is no wall to separate the bathroom. It's just a glass partition so if you are sharing, then you can see the silhouette of the other person doing whatever they do in the bathroom.

Terrible Hotel

Quiet Location
The worst hotel I ever booked. Firstly, the location is very hard to find. Every taxis I took have problem getting to this hotel. Secondly, the hotel corridor was very hot and dark during night time. As for the room, it was not too bad except for the nasty smell and toilet flooding after you took a shower. Lastly, staffs are quite friendly except that they can't speak much English. Free tuk tuk provided to the location nearby only. But be aware of the drivers, as they will bring you to tailor shop before bringing you to your actual place.

Good for what you pay for

Roof top pool and deck, tuk tuk service to main road, room size
Tv service could be better as some channels were fuzzy. The pool also looked like it needs to be clean. Staff was polite but a bit nosey as to why I was alone. Breskfast was average, fruit tasted weird but they made eggs for you and the toast and cereal was fine. Just a bit empty as I was the only one at the pool or restaurant most of the time. For the price, it's good and the location is really nice.

Average hotel

Is ok for a short stay, I stayed for 3 nights but would definitely not stay for a longer period.location is not great, as it is right at the far end of Soi 13 and there is nothing up there. They should run their shuttle tuk tuk more often to accommodate for this. Most staff were ok. If having a longer stay in bkk probably not for you, but for a short trip it is ok

Revamped hotel not quite there yet

Location, friendly staff, quiet
I was disappointed on several fronts after arriving and checking into the I Galleria Hotel Sukhumvit 13. First, though, the staff was friendly and helpful (especially when it came to the broken elevator). However, they did try to sell me several times on the 500 THB taxi to the airport (my GrabTaxi was 350 THB including all highway fees). So, upon arrival, they had no problem locating my reservation, but the common spaces (lobby, hallways, stairs) were quite warm. Not sure if they A/C just couldn't keep up or they had it adjusted to keep the bill low. I was then informed that the elevator was out of order. I understand that this does happen, but it was, no doubt, an inconvenience for a 7 floor hotel. Once of the staff did carry my 22 kg suitcase up to my 4th floor room, thankfully. I tipped him appropriately for the effort; it would have taken me probably 4x the amount of time. My room was clean enough (bed, linens, and surfaces), but there were definite aspects of the room that were old and worn - e.g. seat cushion on the bench was worn to the point where the plastic leather covering was removed/cracked. The A/C in the room was OK for me but definitely did not get that cool. Also, although I booked a "Deluxe" room with a view of the city, my window was just concrete. I didn't inform the staff of this because I had to prepare for meetings and didn't have time to relocate. Finally, there was sort of a funky smell throughout the whole hotel (cooking vegetables?), which did permeated my room as well. Overall, the staff was friendly but I wouldn't stay there again. The experience was a let down.
