Thumbs Up
Just 5 minutes walk from Queen Victoria Market, very convenient. Nearest tram station is also just a few minutes walk away (before QV Market). Good room service and friendly staffs. Clean comfy room. Offers complementary wifi (if you are a member of the Le Club Accorhotel, can register on the spot). Highly recommended.

Good base for Melbourne
Good priced for base in Melbourne, CBD all workable, surrounded by retail and restaurants. Really helpful staff, good check in, reasonable laundry available for guests, clean rooms, excellent bed and bed linen, iron in room, safe and tea/coffee facilities. The only thing I was I found the restaurant a bit cold altough the food was lovely.

Enjoyable stay
My family had a great time staying at Ibis Melbourne. We had a 2 rooms apt. It was comfortable and clean. The hotel location is very strategic. Victoria market, Melb Uni, RMIT, the CBD are all within walking distance. Internet facilities at the lobby is of great help to travellers. The hotel reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back again & recommend to our friends travelling to Melbourne.

Made to pay for upgrade to get baby cot and noisy
We had originally booked a room with a double and single bed, and requested for a baby cot at the time of booking. We did not see the cot in the room. When asked about the cot, the receptionist replied that he had not seen this in his records. After we reminded him that it was shown in the booking voucher, he replied that the cot will be sent to our room. We waited for hours and called the receptionist. This time room, another lady answered and claimed that our room was too small to fit a baby cot ( which was not true) and asked that we pay $30 per night to upgrade to a bigger unit that can accommodate the cot. We were transferred to room 1120 which was an 1 room apartment. The aircon was unbearably noisy. When we asked the staff who finally delivered the cot to us about the noisy aircon, he told us that all the rooms are the same ( which was not true as the previous room we went to was not as noisy). Despite the good location, we had a pretty lousy experience with this ibis, which was really a disappointment. A far cry from the ibis experience we had in Europe!

Good choice when visiting Melbourne
It was a good surprise. The 2 bedroom apartments has a good size. The kitchen is well equipped. The decoration is nice. The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is great. Very near the tram, the buses, even from the train station.

Very comfortable hotel in great location
We spent a week as a couple in a 1 bedroom apartment, which was fantastic. The hotel is really close to Victoria markets so you can pick up fresh food virtually every day. The location is excellent to get around Melbourne, especially with the free trams that run around and through the city centre. You can pick one up on Elizabeth St just near the hotel that will take you through the city to Flinders St Station. Having said that, most places are not very far to walk.
