Nice cheap hotel

nice staff, clean room, location
This is a great cheap hotel. We had room 402 which is one of two that look out on the private roof-top garden, so we were stylin'. Staff is helpful and friendly. There is no heat, no A/C, no TV, no phone, so there's nothing to go wrong. They have backup power now, so one light works when the power is out. We liked it here very much and would stay here again.

Good service

Well Located
I really appreciate the room service and the friendly help we had during our stay. The quality of the rooms is under what you can see on the pictures but the quality is ok regarding the price.

Quiet place in a loud city

Good value/price, helpful staff, nice rooftop terrace
The hotel located in a small lane in Thamel. It is in the center but far from the noise, smoke and dust. The staff helped us to organize our trip to Annapurna. They recommended and booked a similarly good hotel in Pokhara. We had a nice panorama to the rooftop garden.

great location, great staff, real 24 hour hot water
you're 2 minutes walk from the heart of thamel and 15 from durbar square in a very quiet and peaceful area. you can't get this close to thamel without obscene noise during the day(and usually night) but imperial is very quiet. it overlooks a great small shrine and really big trees hang near the hotel on one side. makes some of the rooms feel really great, and the roof top is wonderful. the owner juju, his sons, and mr. krishna are all incredibly friendly. they're great people, they go above and beyond to help you, and they're very genuine. rooms are spotless, beds are comfortable, and water is truly hot 24 hours a day(which really no place in this budget range can claim honestly, although they'll try). the nearest restaurant is called gaia. it's a restaurant mainly for tourists but the food is great and for what you get, it's actually good value compared to other tourist spots. if you wanna eat good cheap local food, you'll find it 15 steps directly across. thank you juju-ji! thank you krishna-ji!
