No longer any value for money, rather a 2 star hotel by now of low quality
After using this hotel for more than 10 years, I will no longer come back. It has been run down so badly that it is not longer acceptable even as a 2 star hotel, especially if one is on business. Obviously the owners think that any money invested in maintaining it is profit lost. When I arrived this time, the bed was made, but the pillow cases and bed sheets were dirty as if they were not changed. There is water damage of the walls at the windows and the ceiling and when it started raining heavily water was dropping into the room. The internet is slow and sometimes not working at all, very bad if you need it for work. The telephone cannot be used for any outside calls and one needs to go to the reception to make phone calls. There would be more to say, but in conclusion, this hotel is too run down and is by no means worth and by far too expensive, considering the conditions. There are so many hotels for the same or lower prices that are much better. This one is totally below par by now.

Worn Down
Love the boutique nature of the decor but the rooms are rough - doors without decent locks, ragged curtains, and lots of late night noise from a karaoke club next door. Staff was helpful but the place needs a total overhaul.

Below par
When I arrived I was informed that I got an "upgrade", but in fact I know many of their rooms and that one was the worst I ever had. Very small. The TV channels are a bad joke and I cannot understand why the hotel is not providing a proper package of channels for international travelers. Even smaller 3 star hotels have more channels. Almost all of them are only in Thai, very few English channels at all and given the fact that True is offering good packages for not too much money it is completely ridiculous that this hotel is still sticking to their old package.

The hotel is not keeping up
Why it was price wise good value for money and had a nice charm for a while, it just is not keeping up for the last couple of years and is loosing it. Hotel facilities and upkeep is not well and may not be a good place to recommend. As they have many international guests and not only Thais or Laotians, their TV program is a joke. Too few channels of interest for international travelers and some (NGC, DISCOVEY) are not even in English.
