Right at Beautiful Inya Lake, Cheap, close enough
The hotel is old, a bit run down but clean. The location is right at the big beatiful Inya Lake. Many squirrels, birds. Strong wifi signal everywhere at the premise. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Taxi to airport around 5-6000 Burmese kyat. Close to center with taxi (couple thousand kyatt). Nothing much around the hotels (walking distance: few restaurants, bars). The hotel gym was not opened.

Excellent hotel.
I love this hotel. It is steadily improving each time I visit. Unfortunately traffic to downtown is now very slow but there are now other nearer developments so it is not so vital to go downtown so often.

Had a memorable stay
Inya lake hotel is an Oasys in the traffick desert ;) This is a beautiful property surrounded by lake and gardens. The swimming pool was an excellent place for us to spend lazy morning and the lawn at the back of the bar facing the lake was a bliss in evening. We are glad that we chose to stay here.

Good Hotel but a bit dated
The hotel and the staff were very good. We had booked the hotel for 2 adults and 2 children. Thankfully the comments also read the same. Our hotel voucher we received from Agoda mentioned the booking for only 1 person. The staff was very kind to accommodate our entire family without additional charge. We had to pay a few dollars for one breakfast. We later learned from the hotel that they had similar cases in the last few days. The rooms are big. The look like old colonial rooms- high ceiling, basic bathrooms, etc. Good hotel as it is close to the lake.

Beyond the old hotel rooms, the price and size of
Large size of bed and rooms, generally clean and working toilets, aircon.
I enjoyed my stay at Inya Lake Hotel and would definitely consider coming back to this hotel again. The scenery of the lake was beautiful in the morning. It may not be next to the main road, but if you plan to return to your hotel only once a day, its really no issue at all. Overall feel of the hotel was on the old dated style and maybe the rooms have a slight musty smell, but it was not an issue for me. Overall, the hotel was clean and nice. Great place.

Great hotel for some peace and quiet and if you li
This is actually a great hotel situated right by the Inya Lake, with some great scenery and serene surroundings. The hotel itself is quite grand and evokes and old-world charm (since it was probably built in the 1950s and maintains the old structure). The room is not modern, so if you are looking for modern amenities, this wouldn't be the right place. But it's clean and functional. The hotel staff was great... it was my boyfriend's birthday during our stay and I casually mentioned it before arriving. They arranged for flowers to be delivered to the room which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is also walking distance away from L'Opera, a truly fantastic lakeside Italian high-end restaurant which is perfect for ambience and a romantic dinner. Also, almost all taxi drivers would know the hotel, although as a rule of thumb, it's a good idea to have the hotel staff write down the hotel address in Burmese (and all other locations you are traveling to, just in case)!
