Deities of Miyajima
The dinner was excellent. The futons were on bad shape. I finally was able to sleep on the bare floor. I was not allowed to use onsen due to tattoo. My Fiance said it was nice. If they wish to view me as a second class person due to one tattoo that is fine and I accept. However if you will not allow me to use your facility you should not take my money and allow me on your property. This Ryokan took my money and would not allow me to use the onsen. I understand this decision is up to the discretion of the owner. I was not allowed and I was still charged a tax to use the onsen. The owner does not think I should use the onsen. I think the owner is a criminal for taking my money. I will ask the deities of Miyajima to curse this establishment everyday. The owner has no tattoos but he is the criminal.

Do it
Iwaso is located at the beginning of the trail up Mt Misen. The swarms of white butterflies that flutter about the trees. The Onsen, next to a stream, where you can watch deer.
It was great. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice Ryokan experience
Location, experience and ambiance
It was our first Ryokan experience, so we had nothing to compare with. However the 'luxuary' should not be taken too seriously. Ryokan was nice with reasonable food and rooms. The onsen was 'ok', but no private options. Best was the location and the island experience.
