Special place for a romantic getaway

We believe that this is a great resort located in a quiet remote area in North Sulawesi. The hotel organised our snorkelling trips and it was truly memorable!
Our stay at Janji Laut was great. Frederic (who runs the resort) gave us personalised service and used his best efforts to offer us a truly memorable stay, particularly with the snorkelling trip around Bunaken - we never saw so many beautiful coloured corals and fishes. Thank you to Frederic and the Janji Laut team for our stay!

Tropical paradise

We had a week in a tropical paradise! The hotel is located in a lavish tropical garden and has it`s own little harbour and boats and scuba dive center! Absoluty quiet and peaceful. Spacious airconditioned room, big open bathroom and cosy porch, right on the sea edge. Excellent mamagement by it`s French owner - competent and helpful. European touch in the deep equatorial Indonesia!

Tropical Gardens

The Owner, he was a lovely man. The cleanliness of the cottages, bed sheets towels etc were of a high standard...very clean. The gardens and surroundings.
We were greeted by a lovely French man. He was most helpful with everything. He arranged our trips and was happy to fulfill any meal time requests. The staff are wonderful... There if you need them but not in your way giving you privacy too! We had room front sea view cottage. The room has a nice feel to it with an extra bed as requested for our two girls. The bathroom is nice as open but still private. The veranda is huge with a big sofa bed, we spent most our evenings out there after putting girls to bed. We were visited by a bat... He hung around for a while hahahaha amazing! We also had a dancing preying mantis chill with us for a few hours... Found a cricket in the bed too! Hahahaha there are many insects to discover and my children love nature so it went quite well. The garden is full of beautiful butterflies and it's nice to sit by the pool surrounded by a wonderful garden full of life. Only downfall was the beach... There isn't really one. You can climb down onto the rocks to discover sea shells moving due to all the hermit crabs. Pretty cool! We went Fishing on the boat and the next day snorkeling. The convenience of it being a two min walk away is great. Fishing, snorkeling, diving etc My only concern was the instructor... He was a nice guy but I wish he had been a little more enthusiastic... Regarding safety as I'm a parent just ensure your children wear a life jacket the min they climb aboard the boat. My children were age 5 and 11 I think it was ok for them as they're pretty chilled enjoying the nature, swimming pool, boat trips, fishing etc but I'd really advise over 8 and hyper children who need constant stimulation. The national park is 3.5 hrs away, the village and market trip was 1.5 hrs away and children become restless in the car.

avis Janji Laut resort
