Going downhill.

Price, Food, Drinks
I've been to Johan's a few times over the years and it just seems to keep going downhill. They really could stand to spend a bit of money on updating the rooms, cleaning up a bit, etc. Put a little bit of care into the rooms and facilities. It looks like people are just lazy and cheap. Beds reek of sweat, sheets and towels are threadbare. Everything is rusty. TV is an old tube style, etc. Also was told we could not rent the Jet Skis on our last day because "the guy" wasn't there. Only redeeming quality was the great food and drink selection and price. Though honestly I've stayed at plenty of places in the PH for the same price that blow this one out of the water.

Animal abuser

Cheap and free wifi, thats about it
I usually don't write negative reviews unless I really had a bad experience, and even though the stay itself was not bad, I feel myself forced to give a negative review for 2 reasons. 1) When I returned to my room late at night I had some trash I wanted to throw in one of the buckets around the back of the house, when I heard a whining sound. It sounded like a cat but I couldn't see any cat. Upon closer inspection I found a kitten, about 2 months old, inside a plastic bag that was tightened with duct tape to suffocate the poor animal. I opened the bag and let her free and it was terrified and nearly dead already. 2) I had brand new rental motorcycle which I was responsible for and when I woke up in the morning, even though it was parked securely on their property in the right place for bikes, someone made a hole in the seat with a cigaret… Bottom-line: Don't support animal abusers and killers and take one of the man other places in the area. They are equally cheap.

Staffs are arrogant not very approachable.
Staff are not very welcoming. Even though your a 2 star hotel you should at least try to make your service better. And you cant bring the food inside the room. What if your guest has a different choice of food ond dont like their menu.. Im not going to stay hete anymore such a bad experience

Great place to drink and relax

Great food, cheap beer and friendly staff
Ill keep this short. Not the best looking rooms (a bit outdated) but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Beer was cheap, food was good and the staff was friendly overall. Beach front was alright, don't expect an amazing beach but decent enough to sip on a beer and watch / listen to the waves crash in.

Noisy Air condition and too soft bed.

The restaurant, location and safe.
I did only stay one night because of extremely noisy air con. The mattress was too soft and I could feel springs. The restaurant was nice with a lot of choice with reasonable prices. Beer at 40 p and western food at around 200 p. If you bring your own padlock you can lock the cupboard with your stuff so it felt safe.

Probably my fault, you get what you paid for.

Girls are nice and friendly.
Sad to say but I wasn't happy. We arrived late n tired. All I want is to go to bed. Didn't bother to check anything. Booked 2 rooms my brothers pillowcases smelled like body odour. Also they have a checkpoint on the street charging P30/head. They said entrance fee. For what? Dirty Beach. My niece cought a dirty sanitary napkin while swimming on the beach.

Rating 3.75 overall

Staff and Food good. If you like one fresh towel in 6 days, power and water outages and terrible wifi connection, and your room cleaned once on 6 days, then that's good.
Six days and room cleaned once and I had to ask for that service. Towel changed one time in 6 days. Water outages sometimes when needed a shower. Wifi not good when it was needed most of the time. Daily power outages no electricity. Convenient location. Friendly stsff.
