Just OK, there are way better hostels in the vicinity
The room was extremely small; beds were cramped and there's not enough space to put my items. It wasn't thoroughly cleaned and bathrooms were not on all floors. On the other hand, location was great as it's near St. Pancras/King's Cross, wifi was relatively fast and the staff members were friendly. Prior to my stay at Journeys, I stayed in a hostel which was within walking distance (I wanted to extend but they were already full) but the experience, facilities, cleanliness, etc. were much better... for almost the same price! Journeys is good for a few nights stay only, but I would probably not come back.

A Hamster Cage
The kitchen and "social rooms" are in a basement that gets really *really* stuffy, really *really* quickly. The three tier beds are fine if you're on the bottom floor where it's cool, but I was on the top bunk in a room with no AC and no open windows. The staff have done a fine job with what they've got, and they went out of their way to make my trip pleasant. All in all, if you're looking for a party time hostel, sure. Book this one. But as a longterm traveler, this is far from te backpacker experience. I moved to Walrus and had a great time.

Not a perfect place
If you are 5ft and taller, I wouldn't suggest this place. There are so many beds crammed into one room and I could barely sit up straight (I'm only 5 ft). The room was a mess with all the people in it and it smelled bad. I was also afraid to sleep on the sheets because it looked dirty. Seems like they just folded the blanket and that was it. When I changed to a room with less people, it was better but the room was even smaller. The ladders are not secured and there were moments I could have fallen. I honestly think there are definite fire violations in these rooms. You can barely move. You also have no control of the shower temperature in some of the bathrooms and it makes absolutely no sense. If you can stand mess, smelly rooms, and short enough to deal with it, go for it. Otherwise, I suggest finding a different location that's worth the money

Walked in, walked back out.
Friendly staff
i booked the room online a few days prior. The place is nothing like its pictures. It was full of gross and dirty people, the room smelled and I actually walked in and walked back out to find another place to stay.

Cheap and little space
-
This hostel is supremely small, lacking any character and charisma. Room meant to fit 6 people, but not even big enough for a single bed normally, but the had 2 triple bunk beds. Only a fitted sheet and duvee provided. Room door would not lock without playing with it. Lots of stairs, and bathrooms were not on all floors, and too small for comfort. If you're looking for tight accomodation and basically a bed to sleep. This is the place for you. If you want somewhere to relax after a big day, choose somewhere else.

super crowded
can't imagine there are so many beds in one room. no individual lockers, so you need to pay if you want one to lock your valueables.
the rooms are crowded in such a way that you almost have only your bed but no space for placing and organizing your stuff. the bed is clean though. so it is suitable for backpackers who only wants a bed for sleep.

My stay at Journeys
Location, good only to sleep
All in all it was convenient, near to trains and marts. In a dorm though, other occupants were not so organised, so many luggages all over the place. It will be better if there is a proper space to put their luggages.
