very realaxing Bagan days

The amazing garden, the relaxing pool, the awesome staff
We absolutely enjoyed staying at the Kaday Aug Hotel. It has a cuple very nice building srrounded by beatifull gardens an the rely lovely Pool area. We went out in the mornings an evenings and inbetween we spent our time at the pool - the best thing to do in hot and dusty Bagan. We rent E-Bikes directly from the hotel (price was the same as outside the hotel). We were very satisfied and cant understand the bad reviews. It was the best place we stayed in Mayanmar an we would definitely stay there again.

Location Gardens Design
This is my own opinion based on my/our experiences at this place, I understand other people on here have different views and in fact it was the TA rating that made me book this hotel in the first place So first off when we arrived I thought that it was a very nice place, nice pool surrounded by plants and the grounds have a very rustic feel, but you don't stay in the grounds or by the pool, you stay in your room which is where everything went downhill. Our first room was on the ground floor, unfortunately anyone moving anyway on the upper floor including walking up the stairs made such a noise that it woke you, in fact thee whole room moved as these are all built of wooden frames. The air con unit in the rooms is from the 1980's and is therefore very out of date meaning very noisey, very ineffective and impossible to control. So our first night we didn't sleep. When I went to reception the next day the young girl was not surprised at all and even mentioned us changing rooms before I had brought it up, so i gather that it is an issue they are well aware of. We change rooms and go upstairs. The aircon unit in this room is even worse, extremely noisy. Wifi - It is not as stated available in rooms and around the pool, it is available in the reception only, and at speeds only achievable in the 1980's when the internet was invented But the piece de resistance on the last day whilst we were out sightseeing 'something' came into my room and destroyed, yes nibbled away, my rucsack so it now has a big hole in it and two of the compartments are rendered useless. When I went to see the manager my impression was that it was rats, but he assured me that it would have been squirrels and so i shouldn't cast aspersions.

Nice Place

Pool, Location, Room
Had a nice stay in this hotel. The pool area was great for relaxing when not out seeing the sights. The breakfast was nice, although I would advise getting there as early as possible, as it was pretty busy later on in the morning. The wifi was sketchy at best, although I think this is a problem in many hotels in Myanmar. The room was very comfortable and the staff were lovely. Will return some day!
