Very Good service
I really liked my stay here. It's just hard to go to the mrt station from the hotel but otherwise, is should have been perfect with the value pf the money i paid. The room is clean and there is daily housekeeping. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Good place to stay
If you like an old-looking style hotel, this hotel might suit you. The design is modern-old. near bus stop and 7eleven, 5 to 10 minutes walk to MRT Boon Keng. room is really small, if you bring many luggages, this room might not suit you. I got room that has toilet facing to the street, I can clearly hear sound of vehicles passing by from my bed.

unique stay
unique hotel environment. however, rooms along the road will face loud noises the whole day and night as vehicles will drive past.

Clean & well arranged.
Refurbished and tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and old school Singapore, this hotel is pretty charming in its own way.

The Only Stylish Budget Hotel in far
This hotel could be a jewel and has a lot of potential if it's being looked after well. Needless to say the nostalgic setting, the location will appeal to many who are after real local delicacies. The only thing I believe the management should think about is how to upkeep such a jewel despite some less than standard and unappreciative guests staying. The open shower bathroom (windows not sealed but there is a door connecting between the bathroom and the room itself, so the bathroom collects dusts from outside) and the carpet should be regularly cleaned. There are many small bits and pieces should be attended to periodically, e.g. broken/missing lamp shades, broken towel rails, occasionally malfunctioned light switches, etc. The carpet in the room should be done away as it's pretty stained over time. When next renovation comes along and suggest that the carpet to be replaced with tiles or mosaics for better hygiene and style. Having said, I will be very happy to come back in my next trip as there are a lot of nice food and inexpensive eateries around. At least, there is a great mall, the City Square Mall, 10 mins walking distance away if one needs to be air-conditioned for a little while. Both Lavender and Farrer Park MRT stations are 10 mins away whereas the buses in front of the hotel take you to most parts of Singapore.
