Far from beach, far from town

Resort is located far from town at the end of a narrow alley. Beach is at least 15 minutes walk away, and we had to walk by swampy areas and drains, not exactly romantic under the hot Balinese sun so not recommended. Alley is unlit so not possible to walk around at night. Facilities are old. Electronic safe didn't work. Water facet doesn't work and had to use brute strength to turn off water in shower. The pool is my villa (No. 3) was a little small to swim in. The common pool in resort have broken tiles so be mindful of getting cut. No TV in the room! Some mosqitoes though. Restaurant by the pool is small but nice. Charges for American breakfast more than US$10/pax is not cheap. Better to take the free shuttle to town for more variety and value. Hotel offers free shuttle to town but you have to take a taxi back on your own. Last, but not least, I left my computer in the table within the gazebo overnight and got rain damage when roof leaked and water splashed over keyboard. Repair costs more than my 2 nights room charge. The irony is that I had to use my computer in the Gazebo area to get WiFi signal. Plenty of other hotels/resort in Sanur area nearer beach and restaurants/cafes so please look elsewhere.

unique stay

decoration hospitality location
To be honest, it's too far away from the central area and beach, we have to ride a bike for 15 minutes to the central area and 5 minutes to the beach in such a hot weather. But, the resort is so unique for its decortion and surrounding, they are independent tents with special feelings. The tents are too close to each other, u have to lower your voice in order not to make too much noise.

Has potential to be a nice little boutique hotel

Peaceful, nice gardens, clean room
Staff were lovely and very helpful but we found it difficult to communicate with them. Location is a bit of a distance from cafes and main area of Sanur but the staff were happy to arrange a free taxi into town if we needed as their shuttle service was unavailable at the time. Breakfast was average. Afternoon tea was free but nothing to rave about. Bed was very uncomfortable and we couldn't wait to move on to our next destination so we could get a good night sleep. Unfortunately I don't think we would stay here again. This hotel certainly has potential to be wonderful little boutique hotel it just seemed like it lacked atmosphere with no music in the lobby or dining, staff who found it very difficult to understand us and uncomfortable hard bed. If you can overlook these little things then I would say it is a lovely little place.

Hidden Gem

Peaceful location, sense of privacy, lovely staff

Lovely ambience, sense of privacy, tranquil environment
We originally booked 3 nights in a standard Lamai villa but enjoyed our time there so much that we extended for 2 more nights and then booked a further 3 nights in one of the Lanai villas with its own pool. The villas have a lovely character, with a beautiful bathroom (loved the sunken bath) and a very comfortable king bed. The best thing is the sense of privacy and tranquility - you feel as though you're away from everything and everyone, as you don't share walls with other guests and don't have any windows that look out into public areas etc. Each villa has it's own little private outdoor area which is really nice. I also really liked the main pool area, which we had to ourselves more often than not. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. It's a bit of a hike into the centre of Sanur, but there's a free shuttle bus service that will run any time you like and you can also hire bicycles from reception (they'll also arrange scooter hire if you prefer). All up, this would have to be very close to the top of my list of favourite places that I've stayed. Already looking forward to coming back!

Nice Villas away from town

private pool, driver into sanur, quiet
Expensive breakfast and a good 10min drive into sanur to do anything. lots of mosquitoes but a lovely spot if you're looking to escape. there is nothing nearby so you're going there to be in solitude really.

Hidden Gems

Ambience, Facilities & Staff
The villa is a perfect spot for hideaway. Located in middle of Sanur, but since it's not on the main road, it will give you the perfect tranquility.

Quiet and peaceful private villa

quiet, close to beach, nice pool
It's within walking distance to the beach, villa's surrounded with lots of beautiful trees. Pool is nice. Food selection is horrible, and the taste is not worth it for the price. Lots of mosquitos but villa provides bug spray and lavender lotions that's thoughtful.
