Peaceful and gorgeous surroundings
Absolutely stunning views in the garden, lovely to have breakfast and chill in the afternoon after visiting Kandy. Only a short walk from anywhere in Kandy. The only minus was that it was over 30 C and no air con in the room.

A real Sri Lankan gem
Host was fantastic, food was amazing, great location slightly out of the hustle of Kandy town.
We stayed at Kandy Green View Boutique guesthouse after reading about it in a blog and we certainly weren't disappointed. This was probably the cheapest place we stayed whilst in Sri Lanka but definitely the most homely. The owner arranged for a tuk tuk to pick us up from the station and we were greeted by a cup of tea and custard cream biscuit! Manjula the owner spoke amazing English having travelled widely herself, was very attentive and hospitable. The room was large, basic but comfortable with ensuite, lots of hot water. It didn't have air con but a large fan, it did get warm but was very hot outside when we were there definitely in the 30s. We opted to eat in both nights, again due to recommendation, food was £3 each for a vegetarian Sri Lankan banquet! Beautiful food, just the right amount of spice and ate it sitting on the terrace looking out to the plush green hill. Location wise it's a short work from Kandy central which is a chaotic traffic ridden town and much larger than we thought. It was nice not to be in the main town but being on the periphery of the chaos suited us. I would definitely opt to eat in as Kandy doesn't really offer any decent meal options and other people we came across whose guest houses didn't offer dinner struggled for an evening meal. We used Amarm the tuk tuk driver and for a very reasonable price took us exactly where we wanted. He was a very cautious and considerate driver, would highly recommend. All in all this place is a must, highly recommend for a truly homely Sri Lankan experience.

Lovely home, lovely view
We stayed there for 3 nights. The hostess has a very good taste and her house is like an art gallery. The most enjoyble moment is to have breakfast in the garden full of flowers and sunshine. The hostess is very friendly. The room is so so and the shower is a bit broken and there is water leaking in the toilet. A bit close to the road so a bit noisy in the morning.

little oasis
The owner, the garden, breakfast
One of our best stays in Sri Lanka. The owner is a lovely lady, very soft spoken with a big smile. She prepared us a tasty and big breakfast at any time most convinient to us. It was so lovely and peaceful sitting on her varanda looking over the garden -away from the bustling city. It's not in the city centre but trust me, you will be glad you picked this quiet little oasis and it's a pleasant walk in to town along the lake.

Lovely host
The host is really lovely. Food is excellent.
We had a wonderful stay. The host organized us a great day trip to sigiriya and packed a wonderful road trip breakfast for us. She was always a help and a perfect tour-guide. The dinner was always marvelous. Every day fresh made rise&scurry of great tast. The room is simple but nice and clean. Coming from downtown Kandy it was relaxing being back home. The garden is really beautiful.

Good food, but not worth the price
Breakfast, Owner, View
The hotel is extremely difficult to find, and while it's in a quieter part of Kandy, there is a lot of road noise. The owner is very helpful and the breakfast is first rate, though I don't think it's worth the price.
