Good location and large rooms
We were well looked after here although the bathrooms could be cleaner. Yet that is a mild criticism. We enjoyed our stay. The location is a good part of town but AUD 69 for 3 people in a room during off season I think is a little high. That could be a booking on the web thing. I would stay again.

Very good
Except a double booking for the first, where we stayed in another hotel, not as nice as khoum xieng thong guesthouse, the rest was very good. The owner is extremly friendly and willing to help.

Great position, could do with a face lift!
Location, location, location
The hotel looks tired and could do with some attention. Sheets in poor condition, shower veering from cold to boiling. Lovely sized rooms though the downstairs ones are very noisy as there are only floorboards between you and the upstairs floor.

Pleasant no frills stay
Quiet, hot baguettes for breakfast, fairly good location
Not a bad location, but essentially all the way at the end of the tourist district. So a little quieter but sometimes a long walk. Off the Main Street so there are some nearby local food places which we enjoyed more than those on the two main streets. Rooms on the first floor are a bit dark because your window opens right into common areas, would try to get a second floor room. The bathroom is quite basic, the room is spacious but basic (big enough to comfortably practice yoga). Owners are nice and the breakfast was enjoyable (skip the coffee if you are from the U.S. and get the green tea instead).fresh fruit, nice eggs, and warm baguettes. All in all, a good choice for the first time in Luang Prabang.

Good stay
The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was nice. Kids love the hammocks.
Overall a good stay, although a bit of pricey, but it is holiday season. We like the courtyard and find the room acceptable as the two queen sized beds are big enough for a family of four. However, the guest house is made of wood so we could even hear very small noises from the tenants upstairs and they were definitely not quiet guests. The drums of the temple next door would wake you up at 4am every day.

Great location
Location, quiet, convenience
This is a good hotel for a few nights. We did feel we were misinformed by the pictures of the rooms which appear to have mosquito nets, but do not. The pillows were very uncomfortable because they were too big. Other than that, the hotel is on a quiet street off the main drag. We liked the location and the little courtyard, and the hammocks.

A beautiful, relaxing place to stay
Large, spacious rooms; peaceful, green outlook; central location.
We enjoyed our relaxing stay at Khoum Xieng Thong Guest House. The bedroom was decorated tastefully and was surrounded by lush, green plants. The owners were friendly and helpful. The only down side was that the rooms backed on to a monnestry, which meant early morning calls of gongs and drums when the monks woke up each morning.

Khoum Xieng Thong Guest House
Location, decoration of the room, size of the room
we stayed at the Khoum Xieng Thong Guest House for 6 nights. The guest house is situated at the end of the peninsula nested between several vat (temples). It is just a pleasant 5min straight walk from the touristic center. We had an occasional event in the nearest Vat in the middle of the night with bells and drums but otherwise the area is very quiet and beautiful. The room was large, and beautifully decorated with traditional cloth crafts. Breakfast was a la carte ( different types of eggs, bacon, fresh fruits ); coffee and orange juice were sub par, but the rest was good. The staff was nice and helpful.

Nice place with no frills.
Close to the Pak Tak temple and the best French bakery in town, quiet, polite staff.
Good except for some communication issues with the owner. Also wish they had safes, the cleaning lady left my door wide open and unattended at one point. Nice garden and comfy bed.
