Adequate but not good

Proximity to attractions, interesting surrounding hutongsj, .
Adequate hotel. Proximity to attractions is good, but access to hotel is difficult for vehicles requiring you to walk ~300 meters to main road (with luggage) to be picked-up/ dropped off each day. Difficult to communicate with staff (in English) even on simple things. Rooms are adequate but nothing special. Barely a 3 star hotel by international standards.

Good enough location, fine food and okay staff

Convenient for going around, nice view from the hotel and friendly enough staff
It was okay hotel. The hotel was near a number of tourism attractions but it's a bit difficult to get into the hotel by big bus as the sub-road is narrow - We had to walk out to the main road to be picked up by our daily tour agent. Breakfast is fine and has choices but just not quite good quality. Staff was friendly enough but English was a problem which is always in China. There were convenient store right next to the hotel and other local food and fruit shops around.

Unfriendly staff, inaccessible area
1. Hotel is far from Tianamen square. It is near the EXIT of forbidden city. To go to the entrance, you need to walk for 30minutes. 2. Nearest subway station is a 25 minute "fast" walk (Nanloguxiang). 3. You need to take a bus (bus#109) if you want to save time going back and forth the hotel and subway station. Bus station is a 5 minute walk to the hotel. 4. Hotel does not offer complimentary water at all. When we asked if they sell water, we were told to buy at the convenience store. 5. The staff are very unhelpful. They won't even assist on carrying your baggage even if they see you are carrying a lot. 5. Staff barely understands and speaks English. 6. This is not the area you would choose to be if you are going to Beijing for a tour. Travelling to the hotel is time-consuming.

The Good and not so good

Breakfast=A+.......Front desk....China News free
I wanted a Double Bed and they came me 2 Single Beds and I hated that...The picture of the bathroom look very big but was very small....And to many people were smoking outside the rooms and it came into my room making it very uncomfortable to stay-sleep

A decent hotel albeit poor wifi

Location, satisfactory staff & quite comfortable
Tracy T. Solo travelers New Zealand, November 23, 2014
struggle to find three best things. no wifi in room. no fresh water daily. staff were ignorant. Holes in linen. Buffet breakfast was not restocked and finished as we arrived. Staff did not advise and we were charged full price for left over pickings. Would not recommend.

Good stay, safe and comfortable

Good staff, location and good breakfast
Our stay was comfortable, the staff helpful, wifi works in the lobby, location is good near attractions and walking distance to a bank and cafes. Clean room, good breakfast, nice roofdeck view.

Good Location...

Good Location
Hotel is ok for short visits only. Very good location, breakfast was simple yet good. Wifi only at the lobby. Room needs a good cleaning, carpets are old and smelly.

In a very bad location for a tourist

Room, Tourist Service, Price
The location of the hotel looks very good on the map but is awfull in reality. The metro stations are at least a 20 minutes walk away, the entry to the forbidden city is located on the other side and effectivly not in walking distance. The streets around the hotel are very busy most of the day, so even taking a taxi will just get you stuck in traffic. The only upside is the Jingshan park nearby, which is very good for realaxing and get a fantastic view over the forbidden city. The room itself was pretty ok and you can't ask for much more at that price. Only downside was the wifi connection, which only worked in the lobby. The rooftop terasse was closed most of the time, breakfast took place there, thouh. Staff was friendly enough but struggled with English conversations. A morning wakeup call was installed by default on weekdays at 8 am, better ask to turn it off beforehand.
