Turtle Sanctuary in Paradise
Fantastic. Truly paradise. Excellent
This is our second visit at secret paradise resort
As this place was a great place for our vacation in palawan philippines. This place made our holiday fantastic.
The very first day, travelling to the resort via port barton road was fun using a 4x4 provided by the resort if you book your transfer with them as before we go through sabang by boat, the boat ride through the port barton islands was amazing.
Step on a white soft sandy beach of the resort, the staff welcomes you with a refreshing drinks and gives you information of the resort amenities and activities.
Our cottage was lovely and clean native style cottage but with comportable bed with aircon toilet was clean and modern with hot shower 24hrs oh the power runs 5.30pm till 7:00 in the morning so you enjoy the aircon or breeze of ceiling fan.
Sitting down in your balcony beachfront and watch the sunset go down or just watched the the shining stars at night.
Food in the restaurant was tasty and good and you have a lot of choice in their menu or in the special set meal they have everyday fresh seafood brought by the fisherman.
I love snorkelling here as i have seen lots of fish and turtles and beautiful color corals which grown more from last year i have been here mostly the turtles they have a lot now.
Island hopping organized to the resort was great whole day in the islands they prepared your food and drinks so you just have to sit and relax or go snorkelling!
I highly recommend this place as there are too many things to do activities, kayaking, snorkelling, island hopping or hiking to the viewpoint which overlook the turtlebay and other islands of port barton.
We will be back again to this place
Thanks for making our stay at your resort like a 5 star!

Eco-friendly Paradise with no Crowd
Beaches, cottage, everything
firstly i want to say well done for the protection program, the resort does for their own marine sanctuary. there are not many places left inthe world that care about the environment.
we thought about booking the resort private transfer as its stated on this website it was cheaper, but after reading some of their guest reviews .saying it is expensive, we decided to do it all ourselfs, which is a big mistake.
arriving in puerto princesa airport we saw the sign official toursm rates is 5,500 pesos to port barton we got the price down to 5,200 but had to wait long time at the airport for driver to take us.
arriving in port barton the tourism informed us there is no boat available as we arrive late in the afternoon all boats are busy. price 1,800 for the boat ride we did not want to wait another few more hours so have decided to call the secret paradise and we was lucky as there boat was available which cost 1,600 only but had to wait for them 45minutes to come and pick us up and drive us to the resort,
getting to the resort was fantastic as staff welcomed you with a big smile and make you feel at home.
the food was lovely and tasty and every night was a different specialty.
the owners greet us and such a nice couples.
i will be back with my family as this is a great vacation ever in Port barton palawan.

Beautiful eco-tourism Paradise
Crystal clear water, 4 different beaches, turtles
Me and my husband booked at Secret Paradise Resort for a night but we had to extend our stay as first step at the resort we fell inlove with this place already and felt like like we dont wanna leave this place without seeing every bits of it.
The four different white sandy beaches is so beautiful, staying in turtle beach gives you more privacy and peaceful.
kayaking to sanctuary and hide away beach was amazing mostly when you see turtles underwater. the water was so clear and colorful, corals were beautiful and had to snorkel morning and afternoon as many beautiful underwater creatures to see from fishes to turtles.
The cottages was lovelyn and clean with balcony and front view of sunset, just watching the fishes jumping ups and downs from the crystal clear water was fun.
Restaurant food was great got different choices every night crab, shrimp, fish, squid as part of 3 course meal for only 595 great value.
Eventhough they are a remote area the fisherman delivers different fresh sea foods everyday.
All you wanted was in this resort with only 6 cottages from the cofy cottages with aircon, hot water shower after swimming and wifi.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ITS ECO-TOURISM AND ITS BEAUTY AND RELAXING ATMOSPHERE.

The worst vacation ever
Sunset, the beach, and the friendly staff (some)
I have no idea how this place got its ratings so high. The accommodation is in old, cheaply furnished cottages that are not only dirty but also full of bedbugs. My wife and one of my children have something like 60% of there bodies covered with bites.
The restaurant's menu is very unins

Biggest disappointment of our trip
We stayed in the resort for two nights for our honeymoon. We took the private bungalow on the beach which was quite expensive for whatbwe got.
The only good thing about it is the amazing location.
The owner and manager are foreigners and they give you a feeling that the only thing they care about is money.
For example, the breakfast was super poor and limited and any smallest addition is extra charge even one egg. The problem is that it's a private island and the guests are hostages to the resort's food and service.
1. The only way to get there is by privat boat and it costs a lot of money.
2. The room is very poor and old - no blanket, no phone to call the reception, the bed and pillows were stiff and uncomfortable.
3. No electricity during the day (7am to 5:30 pm) as well as water heaterm
4. There are only 6 rooms in the resort which is supposed to be intimate but the owner and nanager dring beer and smoke next to the guests in the dining area without even speaking to them. 5. There is limited choice of food in the only restaurant, no seafood or fish and the poor and expensive.
We highly recommend to avoid this place, there are a lot of beautiful spots in the Phillipines that don't take advantage of their guests.

wonderful location , mediocre food
location, ecofriendly, service staff
We had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect organized, friendly, no mass tourism at all. The location is breathtaking.
A pity that the quality of the kitchen could not live up to the quality of the rest; uninspired, quite boring food .
If there would have been a real good chef this would be heaven on earth because the rest is so perfect!

friendly staff, bad location. very far. expensive.
turtles. staff. dont get hit by typhoon
It was okay. Good staff, but if you have just enough budget, definitely this is not the resort for you. You will pay alot just for transportation.

It could not get more idyllic
Turtles galore, a wonderful isolated bay and they couldn`t do enough for you
Not many such places left in the world...it was simply paradise, totally devoid of mass tourism, yet comfortable and with everything one could want.

beach, turtle sanctuary and the island itself
It was very great, a place for relaxation, very quiet and calm ambiance. The beach sand is white and fine cant help yourself but to feel every bits of it. Highly recommended.

Quiet, relaxing, breathtaking scenery.
Overall the stay was unforgettable: this is mainly due to the stunning location and the breath-taking performances made by the nature in the area: calm, blue, warm sea; fish jumping out of the water; incredible sunsets, top class palm tree vistas. It was also amazingly quiet which therefore allowed for an incredibly peaceful and restful stay.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and are very happy to serve you.
The beach huts are very nice. We stayed in the end, mid-range hut.
Unfortunately, due to a generator issue none of the hut were able to use their air con. However, the nights were not too hot and this did not cause a problem. Furthermore to make up for this the staff gave us a free upgrade to the mid-range room, provided snorkel gear free of charge, and offered us free non-alcoholic drinks in the evening.
It isn't the easiest place to get to as the final leg is a 45-60 minute bat ride from Port Barton which costs a high for the Philippines price of £20! It is however well worth it and we have and will strongly recommend this resort to as many people as possible.
Also: THERE WAS NO CHILDREN - YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
