Konventa Seta is a collection of nine medieval buildings combined together to form one of the most unique hotels in all of Riga. The renovated 14th and 16th century buildings make up the 141 rooms here. Located right in the middle of Old Town, you are within easy distance to an abundance of enticing museums, inspiring cathedrals, and spacious parks and gardens. Raibais Balodis is the hotel's restaurant serving up all meals of the day. The daily newspaper and a cup of coffee or tea on the sunny side patio is an ultimate way to spend the mornings or early afternoons. The lounge is nicely decorated and usually has great live entertainment to feast your eyes on. Nice location - poor standard

Location, location, location
Old and poor standard on rooms. Shower was in bad condition, and the rest of room likewise... It was obviously not upgraded last 10 years. The TV in the room is probably one of the first color-TV ever made.

Interesting old hotel in centre of old city

Location was great, with shops, restaurants and all main sights within easy walking distance
I loved the atmosphere in this old medieval convent yard. However, the hotel is in several separate buildings, most without lifts. Stairs to my room were old steep spiral stone steps so worth checking beforehand if you are not happy to climb.
Hotel Feature Tip: The previous week there was a superb breakfast but I was surprised on this stay to be told I had to pay Euros9 if I wanted it. I also had to pay £15 more per night than the previous week. It was Monday night and I had made the 2 bookings at the same time.

Great location and lovely hotel

Old convent with lots of character, right in the cenrtre of the old city
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so helpful although no maps or guide books in English. (Tourist office not far away and had good maps) The hotel is in many small buildings and most without lifts, and with spiral staircases so might be difficult for some people. I stayed for 4 nights and had breakfast provided. Came back for one night the next week, paid £12 more and found I had no breakfast So difficult to see the logic of this. They simply said if they have many bookings they charge more and don't give breakfast!
Travel tip: Just walking around the old medieval streets is a joy. Within a few minutes from hotel are many good restaurants and cafes, a good shopping mall(with supermarket) and the tourist office, also Costa coffee!

Great location, simple but good quality rooms

excellent location
Very good location, Internet was not available in the room and the system they used seemed to bump you pretty easily. Other than that, great value.

Basic hotel at good location

location is fantastic - great surroundings too
This is a very basic hotel, however - all you really need for a few nights stay is there. Don't expect a pool and a midnight steak but surely you will get friendly staff, cosy bed, and a good wifi. Breakfast was tasty if standard, overall a good impression.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Room was large and clean and the hotel was right in the Old Town
Staff were very helpful and the location meant we were never more than a few minutes' walk from somewhere

Good value

Location is a main reason to rent room at this hotel. It's easy to get main sights and railway station. There are no problems with food and drink near the hotel. Also you can go to nightclubs (Push, Scandal, e.c.) on foot, because almost all pubs are located in the Old Riga not far from Konventa Seta. We have got troubles with heat in the room, but stuff could help us.
Shopping Tip: On the right side, you can find The Gallery Center. In this mall, I bought local food and beer for a reasonable price

excellent hotel for business traveller

charming old building right in the historic city centre
Hotel Konventa Seta is located at a very convenient spot, right in the historic centre of Riga. The district is lively, full of restaurants and quite safe to walk around even at night. The staff is very friendly, all speak English fluently and the rooms are clean. Excellent for business travelers. Good access to Wifi. Airport shuttle bus just around the corner on the square next to the Riga Hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip: good breakfast and quiet rooms
