Best location and value for money
I love that we're able to get a fan room good for 2 pax for less than 1000php. The place is really nice. It gives you a relaxing vibe. It has a sand bar and a nice shore. It's also close to the port and the hotel offer a free pick up service. The food selection though needs improvement.

Beautiful beach
The beach is really beautiful! Please replace the bedsheets, pillow cases, mattresses, tables, and chairs with new ones. No room service everyday. Overall, I had a nice stay at the resort. Thanks Kota.

Awesome location but a deluxe room was a bit too bland on the interior
We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. Room was bare and only had a bed tv stand, cabinet and a small table. Room wasn't cleaned either as they should be daily, you have to ask them to do it otherwise, they wouldn't. The restaurant was good, very affordable and tasted good. Beachfront hotel so I guess that makes up for everything else that they lacked. Lounge chairs on the sand were a nice touch. Would come back here but definitely choose the cottages. The rooms in the building just isn't worth the money, so better spend a bit more to get one of them cottages.

Perfect location, bad service.
I would rate Kota Beach a 7.5/10 because of the location was beyond amazing. The service was bad in a sense that the staff were untrained and even lacking at times (they had one server in the AM where most of the guests were eating in. We waited for more than 30mins for our food when we ordered it the night before to avoid waiting in the morning. They forgot we ordered pancakes so I had to wait another 15mins for it). BUT the servers were gracious and kind that you will honestly give them a pass because of it. Quiet beach front location, average room accommodations and decent food selection. Our room was simple and okay in cleanliness but the other room I have booked for my friend had an unclean toilet so we had to request for it to be cleaned. I was not made aware that we can request a pick-up service from the port and was greeted by the driver who let us know that the service was for free. Breakfast starts at 7am but the service is so slow that you have more chances of being served faster outside. Anyway, will probably book this hotel should we return because the view is AMAZING. The room was spacious and had a good deal and frankly, the vibe all over is so peaceful you forego the lack of experience in hospital management.

Could be amazing but fails
I am not a fussy traveller at all - I've been living in hostels while backpacking for years. However, we decided to treat ourselves to this hotel for our Last 3 nights in Cebu but came away very disappointed. First the good things - the location is absolutely incredible it's by far the best beach on the Island and its one of the most beautiful places I've ever been so for that reason alone I would probably stay again. The rooms are also very clean. HOWEVER. There is absolutely nothing in the rooms. We were in a delux and if they just could add a fridge or a kettle or something to make your stay a bit more comfortable it would be great. The big problem for me however was the staff. - The food was not good and took HOURS to arrive and you would have to get up and walk over to track someone down to order. - On check in I was just given the key with no info whatsoever on where the room was, local info, info about the hotel, check out time or the BIG thing: that a movie was goingto be filmed at the resort during our stay. - So on our last day on the island a movie was filmed. It disrupted our whole day, we were kicked out of the sea so they could film, told to move constantly on the sand, told we couldn't talk. They took over the whole restaurant and bar area too so there was literally nowhere we could go. I went and spoke to the receptionist as there wasn't even any signs up and we hadn't been told and said they were ruining the last day of my holiday. She just asked for my room number, said it wouldn't be going on past that day (didn't help) and then spoke to someone else and ignored me (still don't know why she bothered asking my room number). It would have been SO easy to put up signs or offer us a free drink or a free breakfast or anything to compensate but they refused. I gave them the opportunity to rectify the situation before writing a review but they declined.

few staff @ long wait time
Hotel has its own restaurant however we had a very long wait time of almost 2 hours serving the food we ordered for dinner. Hotel must improve the number of staff as it appears they are understaff. Also staff needs training on customer experience as they were unaccomodating. AC in the room was very poor considering we are situated in a beach front room. We requested to be transferred however no room was available. We were given fan instead. Over all 2/5 for experience. Might not be back again and would prolly not recommend to family and friends.

Awesome experience at Kota Beach!
We enjoyed our stay. We get to watch the moon and the stars at night on the beach. So beautiful shoreline with white powdery sands, great for pictures. And the food were also delicious. The staff are nice. Thank you Kota! :)
