Good Stay

On first day, we had an issue with the room and eventually, they moved us to the other hotel called "The Small" which also somehow owned by the La Playa resort, was a bit hassle for us since we were quite tired. But they gave us thai massage as complimentary, so that's a fair story. On the other hand, we stayed at La Playa from 2nd until final day. I would recommend to my friends about this resort. Great location, staff was friendly and informative, wifi was everywhere in the resort, breakfast was alright (usual spread but more variety). Toilet and room - Clean , but I must say, there's mosquito everywhere even in Krabi itself. Overall say, I had a fun time in Krabi and great stay ! Thank you :)

Best bang on your buck. We paid A$200 for 3 nights during peak season, just before xmas. Large roons. Amazing pools! Friendly staff. Quiet. Decent breakfast buffet. Good Internet. Really lovely overall.

Disappointed

Location is very good. It's very near Ao Nang beach. Good variety of food with good standard.

I must say I'm very disappointed with the front desk crew. I booked La Playa resort when I was driving down from Hua Hin. After receiving the confirmation email from Agoda, I drove 5 hours to La Playa. To my dismay, when I arrived, hotel staff told me that they could not find my booking despite me showing them my confirmation email and confirmation ID number. Instead of providing my family members (65 y.o. aunt, 13, 4 & 1 y.o children, pregnant wife) with a drink while we were waiting, all the hotel staff could do was tell me they could not find my confirmation details. My family waited hungry and thirsty for at least 30min. The resort staff finally found the booking details and gave us a room. There was no apologies offered from the front desk staff. I am really disappointed. I gave the staff a rating of 3 because at least their staff at the Spice restaurant was friendly and prompt in their service which made up for my disappointment with the front desk staff else they would be scoring a 1. The rooms are very spacious but it was dusty when we first arrived. It was only after the first day of stay that the room was mobbed clean. While I think La Playa is quite value for money, it's front desk staff is really disappointing in their service. 2 days later, the same thing happened when my friends came. Agoda showed 3 rooms were available but hotel staff told him only 1 room left. What is wrong with the booking system?

We were very disappointed with the front desk staff. After we did our bookings and received our confirmation ID from Agoda, I drove down 5 hrs from Hua Hin La Playa. By then it was past dinner time and my family members (65 y.o aunt, 13, 4 & 1 y.o children, pregnant wife) were hungry and we expected checking - in to be a breeze. To our dismay, the front desk staff told us that they could not find my booking details so could not check us in. We were made to wait at the lobby for more than 30min. None of the staff came forward to help make my family comfortable (Eg. Provide a welcome drink/ snack). What made things worse was that when I tried to contact Agoda, I was always put through a call back service. After the hotel finally settled the issue, the staff did not even apologise. I gave a rating of 2 for staff performance because the staff at the Spice restaurant was very prompt and friendly in their service. Or else they would only get the worst rating. The room felt a little dusty when we entered. It was only after the house - keeping in day 2 that it was cleaner. Food (breakfast) at Spice restaurant is good with a variety of food. My family members enjoyed themselves there. The pool is quite big but most areas are 1.4m deep which my 4 y.o and 1 y.o did not get to enjoy. The baby pool was pathetic. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay.
