friendly owner, good breakfast, cleanliness, value

Krishna House is located outside of the historical zone. Access to parts of the historic zone (1.500 NRS) takes only a few minutes. To get there you can walk down the main street or the narrower, parallel street (the first street to the right from the hotel). Going this narrow street you would pass the bus station/stop for buses to / from Kathmandu (NRP 25!). B & B offers very good breakfast. The room was clean (some hotels in the city center have a problem with that). I had no problem with leaving one luggage after check-out. The service is very nice. The owner, when he heard that I have a problem with the Internet, has allowed me to access the another AP. I had a little trouble finding the place - some extra info on the main street would be helpfull. Walking down the main street (Nagarkot Rd) towards the center, where the ends Siddha Pokhari (left), you should turn right - the name of the hotel is visible. I think it is a good idea to look at a map posted on the hotel website. I have spent there 2 nights (during Bisket Jatra Festival).

A classic house like, nice garden and peaceful environment. I've got a very useful advice from the owner to explore the town, his English is very good. Clean room, reasonable prize and free wi-fi.

Ehh..only if you are really on a budget

Owner is very helpful and nice
I booked a single room but I was "upgraded" to a bigger room which is in the main part of the house vs the guest house. The room was spacious but very dated. The tv had to be from the 80's and room was dark and cold (heat doesn't seem to be an option in nepal). Bathroom was old and cold. There is a window with a screen but no cover on the upper portion. There was no hot water. Barely lukewarm coming out of the shower head on the 1st day and the 2nd day only out of the faucet. No hot or warm water out of the sink. This is also located a good 10 - 15 mins walk from durbar square which at night for a solo female traveler is a bit intimidating to walk since there are barely any lights. I had to use a flash light. For a little extra more $ I would recommend staying in durbar sq. it gets quiet during the evening. Also, it's not all that quiet. There are birds and people around that woke me up every morning and they have a dog that barks until 10pm or so.

Familial Guest House

It was really nice, and friendly owner, full of advise. The place was very quiet, and I loved bhaktapur, probably my favorite place in Nepal.

Felt like part of the family!

Service, Comfort, Value
I cannot begin to put in words how amazing my stay was at Krishna's. First the basics were covered - hot showers and wifi! Also, they had a parking space for my little scooter and held onto my bags for me while I traveled to Nagarkot. The breakfast, the conversations, the smiles, all made me feel more like I was part of a family not a visiting guest. It was an amazing stay and I will definitely stay at here when I return to Bhaktapur.

Owner very helpful

Service, location, food
Owner is very friendly. His name is Mr Ajaya. We asked for help to book the air ticket from kathmandu to pokhara before we arrived Nepal. Mr Ajaya purchased the ticket for us and we paid him only when we arrive his guest house. Mr Ajaya has a very good knowledge and he can tell you a lot of story about Nepal and the surrounding attractive places. The breakfast is nice and room is clean. I would highly recommended people who looking for guesthouse in Bhaktapur come to stay here.

Good location but horrible bathroom

The location was not far from the city centre and was provided a fantastic breakfast. As a 1-star property the room was ok but the bathroom was dirty and gross.
