friendly and helpful owner, good location
The hotel is not quite difficult to find. Bhaktapur durbar square is just 10 mins walk. Restaurants can be found around the square. Actually this place is not the hotel but house. So it makes me felt like we slept over our friend's home. They have no power generator in their house and the light went out from 4am till 8 pm. The owner gave us reading lamp powered by solar to light during early morning. Hot shower is working by solar system so we can have it any time we want but have to wait for 5 mins to warm up. Our room is connecting family room which the floor was carpeted. Obviously be seen that the carpet is dusty so you 'd better wear your shoed all the time you were in the room. The blanket is warm enough for the cold night. Breakfast is simple but fulfil my need. The offered local-made yoghurt is great. The owner are very friendly and help to guide us how to walk around the city.

Krishna House is located outside of the historical zone. Access to parts of the historic zone (1.500 NRS) takes only a few minutes. To get there you can walk down the main street or the narrower, parallel street (the first street to the right from the hotel). Going this narrow street you would pass the bus station/stop for buses to / from Kathmandu (NRP 25!). B & B offers very good breakfast. The room was clean (some hotels in the city center have a problem with that). I had no problem with leaving one luggage after check-out. The service is very nice. The owner, when he heard that I have a problem with the Internet, has allowed me to access the another AP. I had a little trouble finding the place - some extra info on the main street would be helpfull. Walking down the main street (Nagarkot Rd) towards the center, where the ends Siddha Pokhari (left), you should turn right - the name of the hotel is visible. I think it is a good idea to look at a map posted on the hotel website. I have spent there 2 nights (during Bisket Jatra Festival).

Good location but horrible bathroom
The location was not far from the city centre and was provided a fantastic breakfast. As a 1-star property the room was ok but the bathroom was dirty and gross.

Ehh..only if you are really on a budget
Owner is very helpful and nice
I booked a single room but I was "upgraded" to a bigger room which is in the main part of the house vs the guest house. The room was spacious but very dated. The tv had to be from the 80's and room was dark and cold (heat doesn't seem to be an option in nepal). Bathroom was old and cold. There is a window with a screen but no cover on the upper portion. There was no hot water. Barely lukewarm coming out of the shower head on the 1st day and the 2nd day only out of the faucet. No hot or warm water out of the sink. This is also located a good 10 - 15 mins walk from durbar square which at night for a solo female traveler is a bit intimidating to walk since there are barely any lights. I had to use a flash light. For a little extra more $ I would recommend staying in durbar sq. it gets quiet during the evening. Also, it's not all that quiet. There are birds and people around that woke me up every morning and they have a dog that barks until 10pm or so.
