this was a complete disappointment. if getting stuck in the elevator wasn't enough, the room was filthy, no hot water if at all... shady locks, extremely loud and disrespectful staff. this is not legitimate hostel. it's a complete scan and i caution anyone who thinks they are getting a good deal. highly over priced. also- my mom whom i was travelling with got extremely sick on the third day undoubtedly from the lack of water and disgusting bathrooms and overall quality of the entire place.

No signs in the street that there is hotel here, showers was small, toilets old,in the coridors of the hotel you could feel a strange smell, smells like a something old,i was booked o double room and i get the room with a double bed and a two bunk beds - i look at the owner told me that the room is just for us,the same evening i saw the owner of that hotel walking corridor WITH THE CIGARETTE - i have never seen disrespect like this for the guests. The owner dosn't speak in English-i ask him something in English-he reply to me in Spanish. I will never stay in that hotel and i would not reccomend it to a friend

Terrible hell hole like a prison cell

This is the hardest question in the world since there's absolutely nothing to recommended it

First off, the agoda confuse it with another hotel called Emilia so all he photos are false. It was the most horrible place I've ever stayed. The single room was so tiny that it was like a storage against the staircase. The bed was shaky and the small window faced a huge chimney tube which fumed bad smell right into your face. The courtyard outside the window was so noisy from the neighbors playin music till music till 2 in the morning, and what was worse, the constant loud noises of motor all night long! Worse was yet to come, it was so hot and stuffy in the night that I had to open the window and even my door, otherwise I would suffocate to death. Closing the door made little difference anyway since it was just one paper thin door away from constant footsteps of other tenants. Please don't stay there if yu don't want to ruin your stay in Barcelona.

Unsafe hotel / terrible staff - don't stay here.

nothing is good about this place apart from it's location.

Our experience at La Casa de Emilia was short lived the doors were made of plywood, the locks didn't work, the room had holes in the walls, the shared bathroom was disgustingly dirty, the door number was written on a post it note and stuck on. It was that bad / made us feel so insecure that we decided we couldn't stay (coupled by the fact that the staff are frightening)

I hate this hotel. Very dirty and nasty room. Bad condition of bathroom. I prefer to stay on the beach than in this hotel. Much worse than the photos showed !! Feel being cheated!! Waste of money!!!

Would not go there again ...

The location is o.k. But there are no other good things.

There is only one shower (bathtub with shower curtain) for the whole corridor. The buthtub looks rather repellent. They have a kitchen, but I preferred not to use it. (They do not offer food. But I had to rate.) Craftsmen startet works in the room next to mine during my stay. The work lasted at least 4 days. It was very noisy during the daytime (until 7 pm - or even later).
