Nice but ...
Nice place and view. Nice room but no hot shower in the room we stayed. The water at shower stuck up.No telephone in case of emergency.

In shock.
I was outraged when we checked in here. We were told that it was mandatory to pay 1,400 php per day for food (per person!) even though we hadn't booked it. I managed to negotiate it down to paying for two breakfasts. The food was atrocious anyway. We ate lunch and dinner in Acuaverde for the same price and it was excellent. Never in my life, and I've stayed in dozens of hotels all over the world have I been asked to pay a mandatory food bill. Also, the room was never cleaned during our stay. The only good thing is the snorkeling. It's a miracle there are any fish there though as the coral is dying and there is a lot of trash in the sea. Book elsewhere and walk down the beach for the snorkeling.

Great place to relax!
Nice resort, very private & secluded. Very relaxing because all you have to do is just enjoy the serenity & the view of the place

Good stay, had a "tiny issue"
It was a good stay, although I did get bed bug bites from staying at a bed on the loft. I messaged them about it and showed them photos via Facebook messenger and they just seen-zoned my message and didn't acknowledge it. I hope they fixed the problem. The food was better than the last stay I had with my family. So all in all it was ok. Just watch out for the bedbugs!

Worst Experience
Photos are really deceiving. We chose to stay at La Luz Resort expecting we can get that much awaited beach experience. The annex rooms were new rooms but we face so many issues - water chokage, and there is no hot water. So we were asked to transfer at Ipil Rooms- but so much disappointing. Too much flies, cockroach, and insects. Not worth of what we've paid. That room needs a renovation. And so they transfered us again to Premier Room. A bit better but they have an issue with water pressure. We were required to pay Php 1485 for the food which includes - Breakfast, Lunch, Merienda and Dinner. Their food were so oily, dry, and awful taste. If only we have an option we will buy it from outside. Overall, am not going to recommend this resort. It was the worst experience and did not enjoy our trip.

Please add at least complimentary tissue rolls and water inside the rooms. Also, hot shower wasn't working.

Great beach get-away!
You can see fishes the moment you get in the water! It was amazing! Some of the food dishes can be improved and the rooms can be refurbished.

A great place on the beach
This is our second trip to LaLuz. I had some issues with room not ready and I barely had time to enjoy the lunch. The cabanas were great. The beach was beautiful and the sleeping room was perfect. The food was served buffet style and provided a variety of choices every day. The egg station at breakfast was chaotic. The toaster did not work. The food was not consistently good. The meal package was expensive. The staff was attentive and I appreciated getting a glass of water up to my room when I did not feel good enough to come down for dinner. LaLuz continues to be a great choice if you want a great beach vacation.
