Hassle-Free Family Getaway
The place is exquisite. The food is well worth the price (trust me), and the rooms and general areas are so well-maintained that we didn't worry about anything, even with taking care of the kids. We stayed in the premier rooms, by the way. I'm telling you; you won't regret going to La Luz.

It's an OK stay for a short vacation
Good location for a solo traveler because the place is quiet, cabanas are well situated by the beach so you can enjoy it even after the sunset, food is expensive but at least there are options
It was nice. You will enjoy the beach and the activities they have offer.

Mandatory Rippoff 1350 Pesos per person and day

Although we just booked for two rooms without food package, the stuff didn't give us our rooms before we "upgrate" to mandatory food package for 1350 Pesos per day. The food package was a real rippoff for 1350 Pesos per person and day with e.g. no milk at poor breakfast, just untasting low quality buffet at dinner. Beside that we have never seen such uncaring staff, but other travellers running away after just one night.

Place was great,but forced to pay for their buffet
1. The coziness of the room 2. The nice ambiance and view at the cabana 3. The cleanliness of the entire resort
In all fairness, the place was great. The view- thanks to their perfect location, and their rooms are simple yet so cozy. But as much as i would like to give them a perfect 10, i'd give it a 5 for their forceful availment of their buffet for 1350 per person. We arrived past lunch time and obviously we are done withour lunch. But of course the 1350 covers the lunch merienda dinner and breakfast in which you do not have any choice but to avail. It feels like a "holdup" because when we booked at Agoda, It was not stated that you need to be ready with extra money to pay for your meals. I hope they would stop this. The taste of the food sucks. My children and their nanny do not even eat a whole plate and paying for a buffet is such a waste of money. I hope that they would just do a per order thingy at their restaurant so people can choose what they want to eat especially if they are on a tight budget. Not everybody travels with the luxury of having extra money which doubles the amount of their accomodation. What if we just want to relax overnight and do not have the money to pay for that buffet? Thats what we said to them. But they said IT IS REQUIRED. and the payment for our room was take note, non refundable. Hope they would change this way of getting their guests to eat their food. There are no nearby restaurants or eatery so for sure the guests whod stay there would surely order from their restaurant-- only just not that way. It really felt that we were hold uped! We surely want to go back to the place but thinking twice because we have to make sure that we have an extra amount to pay for their crappy buffet. So its a never again and i would never recommend this resort to the people i know.

Terrible staff performance , very lacking in hospitality skills, perhaps no training by owner .generally unfriendly , very slow check in , incompetent, lacking knowledge.Disliked the arbitrary must pay extra for meals, basically forced to eat there. DONT STAY THERE AGAIN UNTIL THEY TRAIN STAFF TO BE HOSPITABLE & be PERMITTED TO BE FRIENDLY. Atmosphere was horrible, I don't recommend this place.
