Sanctuary in the Top End

Lake, food & Sfatt
We absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Bennett Wilderness Resort. The Lake is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. We are already recommending it to all our friends.

Basic overnight stay

location was good, pricereasonable and bed comfortable.
Ok if you want a bed for the night. Would not class it in the resort category. Only facility open was restaurant, spent most of day and evening in room with tv that only worked effectively half the time. Nice location.
Sivaram M. Couples India, June 30, 2014
Good location, mozzies and limited food options.

Lake, kayaking, use BBQ
Good, relaxing, went as a big group, had a lot of fun

The room was clean and comfortable. Nice garden and lakeside views.

'Standard' en-suite double room not spacious.

Quiet location and good restaurant
Our stay - at a time of low occupancy - was satisfactory.

A quiet resort hotel with beautiful lake view

Quiet surrounding, beautiful lake view and sport activities.
Though the room is not very big, but it is clean and comfortable. Sunset view at the lake side is wonderful though at this season the weather is a bit hot. It is a nice quite place to escape from city.

Not very cumfortable

The View, The Price for what it was we would not have liked to have payed the full price.
We had a evening meal the starter was very expensive 5 prawns $32 ? Then we waited for over 45 minutes for breakfast the waitress did apologise and said they where waiting for the fryers? The bed in our room was very uncomfortable, we had booked for 2 nights but decided not to stay the second night.
Anna W. Couples Australia, August 25, 2013
Beautiful spot for a relaxing weekend

Views, lake, dinner
Great relaxing stay for the night. Beautiful sunset views over the lake and relaxing environment. Lake is safe for a refreshing swim and water temperature is perfect. Dinner was also enjoyable although service a little slow.

Remote Location

Next to a lake
The resort is all by itself, with the nearest town located about 20-30 mins away (by car). If I knew the resort is so inconveniently located, I would hv drove all the way to Darwin for the night. The TV signals were poor in the room, you can get no signals at all from 1 to 30 mins. I couldn't received my Telstra 3G signals at all too. & there's no activities at the resort after nightfall. The towels & pillows smell stale... yucks!
Hotel Feature Tip: Go stay in Darwin instead, where you can get a cheaper & better hotel.

Beautiful Location

The sunset views reflected over Lake Bennett and swimming pool.
Lake Bennett Resort is truly a wilderness resort overlooking a beautiful lake. We found it to be conveniently situated between Litchfield NP and Mary River, but it is a fantastic place for a weekend escape from Darwin. The restaurant is to be highly recommended.
Hotel Feature Tip: Select a lakeside view cabin.
