Horrible hotel, very dirty! We recommend to absolutely no one. There was mild in the hotel room as well as the bath room.

Wow! How is this a 3-star hotel?

Location, Soft Towel, Soft Bed
I should have figured that this was no where near the standard of a regular 3-star hotel when I saw that we would have to share bathrooms, but the rating was high, the price was good and the location was ideal. Not only did I have to share a bathroom, there wasn't even a sink in the room and I had to travel to the next floor to take a shower. The cleanliness of the room was dubious as well. The towel (singular was soft), which is a rarity, and the bed was on the soft side, but comfortable. The shower room was kept clean, although the shower was far from the best. There was no TV, no desk, only one bottle of water provided (no fridge), and there was no way to indicate to the cleaners that I didn't want my room disturbed (no safe). The final nail in my tiny box room coffin was the thin walls and the staff watching Bollywood movies after midnight and then talking loudly outside my room at 8pm. Not an experience I will be repeating. For a small amount more, you can get much better.

good hotel position

located in city center
We stayed 2 nights. Good deal for the price we payed. Location is in city centre next to metro station, all shops and monuments. Paint in the room needs to be refreshed. Also it was bad isolated we can hear all noices from reception and tv from the room next to us.

Bang for the Buck

Location, Value, Staff
My initial impression was not quite positive because the building is a bit old and dirty. My room (1 single bed) was very small and AC was not working well always. However, considering it is located very near Clarke Quaey (quite central near many restaurants and clubs), the price is very reasonable. For the same price, you could probably get a bigger room with own bathroom, but it will be farther away. This hotel might be the cheapest option around CQ. It really depends what you are looking for. I wanted a budget hotel so my options were: -hostel: I was staying in town for a few weeks carrying my laptop and other valuable items, so I wasn't comfortable with hostels - Geylang area: In this area you will find hotels priced at 40-60 SGD at night. - Budget hotels farther away from the cities: I was considering this - Le Carpenter Hotel So at the end I stayed here and it wasn't that bad actually. Bathroom is shared so take note also.

Never again

the room has got the musty smell. I killed a cockroach at the first night. you could hear people walking when you're in your room. the female staff was helpful but not the guy, he watched TV so loud at night and I could hear it from my room. my last night there, someone brought in durian and the smell was everywhere.

location is the best

location, fast check in and out, good deal
despite located in a very close distance to MRT, oher aspect is just average. considering the price, it is a good deal to a quick stay in singapore. the room is too small for two and doesnt have window as expected in any promo hotel in singapore. the staff is nice and helpful
