Nice long weekend

Check in and transfer to resort by private boat, large comfortable rooms with great spa, quiet private beach and pool
We had a wonderful stay enjoying the facilities of this fine resort. Not far from Bangkok to enjoy a long weekend away from the city.

Problems to be fixed

Beach, sea, location
1. Personnel was not operational enough and did not manage to organise dinner on the beach despite the good weather conditions; 2. The green fence protecting the plants from monsoon spoils the reputation of a 5 star hotel; If it is highly needed for protecting the plants there must also be a way of making it more appealing; 3. Mosquitos - is the biggest problem of the place, especially sunbathing on the beach - we were bitten more than 10 times each and got a serious skin irritation. Mosquitos can be eliminated by taking care of hotel ponds, taking sunbathing beds further from the green area and placing a special machines for attracting mosquitos with CO2.

Hated it, over priced tourist trap.

Horrid and annoying, what was supposed to be nice couple beach holiday s=ck=d big time. Never have we felt happier to leave a resort before, Not to be a wet blanket, but save your cash and avoid the tourist trap, supposed nature reserve. BAD: Welcome fruit basket, bananas were black and the oranges had green fungus. Granted, didn't complain to the manager, just left the rotten things there, first hour in the hotel no need to be difficult customer right? Mini bar is chargeable, (at 300 usd a night is just plain greed they charge 114 B for a can of soda | 100B buys 1lt of milk, 1 1lt coke, half a loaf of bread, 2 pack of mentos at any 7-11 store. Yes there is one 7-11 in downtown area) Location is far away from the "town" so expect to pay 700B (price varies depending on front desk/driver mood) each time you want to get out of the hotel grounds, suggestion: rent a motor bike around 100 B per day (same as a can of sprite?!?!?!), no need driver license just your passport. Staff that doesn't speak english gets impatient and slams the phone on guests. will just tell you prices and slam the the phone down, ad will try not to contact the managers. strike 3 English is not being part of the training (had 4 different people on the phone when asking for a ironing machine). German either but have a selection of books in german and rusian. Staff doesn't speak rusian either. Front desk staff are always chit chatting and never seem to know any answer. But they are always quick to ask about your check out. Maybe is me but as a guest it gives a "get the hell out" feeling. Cherry on the top, we are full of bites that look like flea/sand flea bites. Waiting for the management to answer this same complains. Worst island resort I've ever visited, and Im sure Il not go back and suggest stay away when visiting koh same.

Location. location, location
Very nice. Food service was spotty. Accommodations were excellent. Not much to do on the island but sun tan and swim. No deep sea fishing. Fun was at public beach.

Peaceful and Restful

It offered a place I could play, relax, and meet new people
I was all I expected and more. I enjoyed the quiet, while being able to meet new people from all over the world. I enjoyed going to shopping side of the Island as well. It was a place of rest for me and that was peaceful.
