Good Location, friendly staff

clean big room, our room was right infront of the pool
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, both have been at the second part of the hotel. Had a Deluxe room. Was perfect for me and my partner as we are not the type to be in the room unless we are sleeping! beds were not very comfy, but has aircon, mini fridge, tv and bathroom. Breakfast was included, so for $30 a night you cant complain.
Shopping Tip: The first DVD store on the right - the boys that work there are lovely.

Value for money

Price and what you get
Room Price reduced from as it is low season. Room was good with air con , TV and fridge and outside private balcony. Nice breakfast served by the pool each morning. Excellent location in Legion. When you book over the internet there is a service charge of $50 which I thought was a rip off.
Restaurant Tip: Bamboo in Poppies and their sister restaurant Gong Corner in Benesari - Sizzling steak plate $2.50, Whole fish deep fried $3.50 and wash down with a beer at $2.50

A calm retreat away from the hustle & bustle

Walk to beach and restaurants
Legian Village Hotel has 2 sites. The main one is a large multi-storey complex on Jl. Padma and the second one is smaller and off a laneway leading from Jl. Padma opposite the main hotel. We loved the second one. It is quiet and a little secluded and a great haven to get back to at the end of the day. The pool is wonderful with a swim up bar which has happy hour each evening. The room we had was neat & clean and we had a small patio with a table & chairs out the front with a view of the pool. There were fewer guests and we were very happy with the friendly staff and the service provided. If you like peace & quiet, ask for the option across the road from the main hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip: Please be aware that although the hotel offers free WIFI, you are only allowed 30 minutes a day.

Good location short walk to beach

Serenity of the second area of the hotel
There are 2 sections to the Legian Village Hotel. We had booked a “Deluxe” room and upon arrival at the hotel found we were booked into an upstairs room, something we had not considered when making the booking. As I would struggle going up and down the stairs constantly, we asked if a ground level room available. We were then offered a room in a different area of the hotel. This was across JL Padma Legian and down a laneway, around 5 minutes walk from the main hotel. We were happy to accept. The room was huge with clean bathroom, and terrace with chairs and table. We had a view of pool and the swim up bar. This part of the hotel was much quieter than the main part and we also had security stationed at the entrance. The main part of the hotel had a larger pool which had a dining area and bar on one side and a busy restaurant on the other, both of which looked across the pool. There were many more people here compared to the area we stayed in. We loved the peaceful seclusion we enjoyed on our side, and the walk to the dining area each morning for the included breakfast was not a problem at all. Legian Village Hotel is around 10-15 mins walk to the beach and the area has an abundance of restaurants and shops. Staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. The only nit picking criticism I would have is that the advertised “free WIFI” is only available for 30 mins a day.
Shopping Tip: Be very careful with your money. and IDR 10,000 are the same colour and can be easily confused. Also stick with official money exchangers. Stay away from side street, or run down looking 'authorised' money changers. NEVER leave the exchange counter without counting the money yourself and once you are certain it is correct do not let the exchanger touch it again. We had one experience where the exchange rate sounded really good, the exchanger was down a small arcade and counted the money in front of us several times, we counted it ourselves and then he took it back counted it out again in front of us then added the few smaller notes needed and gave it to us. Before walking away we counted it again ourselves and it was IDR 200,000 short. We told the exchanger it was not correct and he suggested we were mistaken, we counted it out onto the counter and he gave us our own currency back and told us to go somewhere else.
